McKay and I are having the BEST time. The event is now over and it was so wonderful and special. The women were so very appreciative that we had come. I love the women here. The event coordinators- Michele and Jodi TRULY have outdone themselves. I would come back in a second. The event was well run and they really did do a great job. It was their FIRST event. I am so thankful that I was asked to come.
After the event ended, we went to church. They have our church here and we googled and found the local meetinghouse. It was perfect timing and the event took dropped us off. I can't tell you how much it meant to both McKay and I to be able to go. It was a Polynesian ward. Needless to say, we kind of stuck out with our light coloring and eyes. They were so friendly. They wanted to know why we had come all the way from Utah. One young man spoke- he had just returned from a 2 year mission for the church. It was uplifting and spiritual and McKay has decided she will come home from her mission and come back. Yes, he was very good looking and so McKay jokes she would marry him in the future. Ha!I am truly thankful for today. I loved watched the sweet polynesian families and they have strong family bonds. It was beautiful to behold.
We are having a special teachers, events, and helpers dinner tonight at Maggie's house. I am so looking forward to this. Tomorrow we are sightseeing all day. Can't wait!!!!!
