I have been home from Texas for a little over a week. I have been crazy busy with CHA around the corner. I filmed 14 new TC My Craft Channel shows yesterday. I worked nonstop for a week (3-5 hours of sleep) to get samples designed to film and use for shows and CHA. I am thankful that I slept EIGHT hours last night. However, in my world...I have constant deadlines. I have a BIG DEADLINE...July 10th. This is a HUGE thing for me. I keep pinching myself that I am doing this new "design partnership." My business is growing so fast and I am just so humbled and grateful. It has just meant that I have had to add more talented people to my team to help me keep up. I am so fortunate to have a family that is THERE. Yesterday, Gentry was making new drapes for me for the booth. Taylor was calling and helping me negotiate the price on a NEW chandelier for the booth. (I am so not good at this! She saved me $25.00- every bit helps-ha). My sweet husband is my constant cheerleader. He books off the time when I travel and is home with our kids. We make it work so that one of us is always home and taking care of the family and home. He has cut back on his work schedule to support my company. I am very appreciative to him and the kids for helping me and allowing for more balance in a very busy family and my company.
So I filmed 14 shows yesterday and I was just so talkative. I just felt MORE relaxed than ever. I shared so much about my inspiration, my family, just why I design the way I do. I hope you will watch my weekly shows that I host. EVERY MONDAY... on www.mycraftchannel.com.
NEXT MONDAY- on my show I reveal the LATEST product that I have coming out with XYRON. Oh, it's so me and so cute AND such great quality. I love it! So on MONDAY here on the blog and the channel you can WATCH me debut it and then VISIT here to win it BEFORE it even SHIPS!!!!! I can't wait to show it.
I am sooo HAPPY!!!! HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY today...
I am driving down to Spring City, Utah today. It is about 2 hours from me. I am picking up my son Ty after 22 days at Birchcreek Service Ranch. It's family day and I am going with Zach, Gentry and her good friend Devan to pick him up. They host a barbeque for everyone and then we bring him home. I'm giddy...like Christmas. I pray that he has learned and grown from this experience. I know he has loved it. He called home every Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, he mentioned he wanted to stay there. HA! Well, maybe he was having TOO much fun. I will let you know more about what he did after I get him home and question him.
Tomorrow is the 4th of JULY!!!!! Oh, I am so thankful for our FREEDOM and Independence. I am just thankful for where I live and for the men and women who are BRAVE and fight for our country and nation. I hate WAR... I hate anything to do with violence and fighting. I wish the world was more peaceful...wish we could all just get along. We will go to the Murray Parade (it is really very small) and enjoy being together. This means a trip to Costco today to buy food! I hope you each have a wonderful holiday if you are celebrating tomorrow.
NOW... finally... PHOTOS from my visit to HOUSTON Texas and By Design Scrapbook Boutique.
Okay... who would not SWOON over this store?????? I am absolutely in LOVE!
Photos from inside the store....
This is speaking to me... the pink walls and WHITE crown molding. So pretty!
I loved all the details....
This is the classroom where I taught TWO of the THREE workshops. I taught my last one at the hotel conference room. All the classes were sold out and no one complained about how close they were. They were the best and I had the BEST time.
Everyone was just so easy going and there to have a good time. I really felt at home and loved talking and sharing with each of them.
This was the THIRD workshop and we moved to the hotel conference room. It was really so much fun!
This is Mylynda... she gave Maxson and Azalea the sweetest tie and hair bow. I was so touched. I just am always touched by the thoughtful of the students that I meet. I felt so welcomed!
I loved talking to these two girls. They are super talented and I enjoyed talking to them about crafting and what they thought about it.
I have so many more photos that I need to share...so watch for MORE!!!!
I have to get to the grocery store and take Zach to baseball practice. Have a great day!
