I knew that on the day I lost 30 lbs that I was going to SHARE it. It has been a goal for me to get my weight in check and get healthy. Today I visited my doctors office and was just going through the motions. I have only lost about 2 pounds since I came home from CHA. Yes, it's called a THREE week PLATEAU. I did everything. I kept 100% to my program- did not cheat and yes, decided to keep going no matter what. I knew that EVENTUALLY my weight loss would once again start. I weighed the EXACT SAME weight day after day. It was frustrating but I knew that my body was just trying to adjust. I kept to my course because it is important to me.
Today was 11 weeks. I am learning that you have to work hard for what you want. If you really want something YOU have to put forth the effort. I was using so many excuses- you travel all the time, you are too busy- just drive and buy fast food, etc. Well, I learned I did not personally WANT it enough. I do have TIME when I make TIME. Don't we make time for things that are important? Aren't we worth it????
I am not even sure what I should weigh or how much I want to lose. I honestly am doing this DAY BY DAY. I will know when I need to shift into maintanence. YES, the HARDEST part. I know that it will be a daily battle. Drats...I love food. I have to really watch my portion control.
I believe having support was KEY for me. I needed help. I went to a center in SLC called LITEHOUSE HEALTH. I worked with LINDA who is amazing. I met with her and discussed each week my "emotional" feelings. They held my hand and walked me through it. Each week I had a consulation, weigh in (cool machine that tells you your weight, body fat and hydration levels!). Then I do exerices for 30 minutes with oxygen. I then go into a REALLY hot sauna for 20 minutes and let me tell you I am SWEATING. Then the last hour is a body wrap. It's like the TREAT for the week. The encouragement is THERE- they call me each week to chat and check on me. In all honesty, I needed the structure. However, I eat REAL food- nothing processed, no bars, no pre-packaged anything. I do write down EVERYTHING that I eat in my big binder. If I eat it- I am accountable. If your in UTAH and want more info about my program- email me at teresa@teresacollinsdesigns.com.
