I announced yesterday that I have my own idea book coming out with Northridge Media. I wanted to share how it all came about- a little behind the scenes. This past Summer, I was at a "work" lunch meeting one day after I had filmed my episodes for My Craft Channel. I was with my good friend Kristine McKay and Stephenson and Colby with Northridge Media. We were having a meeting and they mentioned the idea of doing a idea book with me. I would design all the projects, etc. I thought it was a great idea. I was very flattered that they wanted me to do it.
Not too long after that I was asked to go to lunch again with the same group. I was asked if I would design the idea book and was given a VERY short deadline. I knew it would take my complete dedication and hard work to get it done. Okay, THANKFULLY... I was feeling very CREATIVE and I designed non-stop. My entire house turned into a design studio. I had the best time working on the idea book.
I have to say that when I saw the book finalized this week- the tears flowed. Yes, this book is a priceless treasure to me. I included my heartfelt feeling behind each project along with the HOW. It is a book that represents my life and family and how I "tell my story."
I wanted to include projects that were 100% me. Yes, if you like BLING, SPARKLE, GLITTER, JOURNALING, MINI BOOKS, HOME DECOR, USING YOUR CRICUT... you will find it OVERFLOWING in my book.
So this is the idea book cover-
I even was LUCKY enough to have a FUN photoshot. I wanted the book to really capture WHO I am. I am wearing ALL WHITE and holding a project that I will be showing on My Craft Channel (Season 2). This was a dream to be able to do this. I hope that I can show you some of the inside of the book soon. I want to thank Northridge Media for putting together this amazing idea book. The details throughout the book are simply stunning. The photography is top notch. I am SO THANKFUL to put my name on this project. I hope it will inspire others to create and truly remember THEY are their own family historian. ha!
