It's been a week now with the kids back in school. I feel like I am living half the day in my car. Can you relate? I am keeping super busy and with some tight design deadlines I am going on very little sleep. I know this is not good, but I am trying hard to balance being a mommy/wife and designer.
I am so happy that I was able to recover the photos from the first day of school with the kids-
Zach is in 8th Grade and 13 years old. McKay is 17 and a SENOIR!!!!
I have to say that Zach really touched me today. He had early day (get's out at 12:30) from school. I LOVE this time alone with him. He was telling me about his day. I asked him what he wanted to do for the rest of today. He said, "I want to invite "Eric" over to our house. He is new to the school and doesn't have any friends." Seriously...I am BLESSED that he is KIND and cares for others. I told him that I am most proud of him for his desire to be a good person.
Tonight...is the FIRST football game of the season. That means I get to go watch McKay perfrom with the MHS drill team. This is her third year on the team. I can hardly wait to see them tonight and take lots of photos. She is starting to think about where she wants to go to college next year. I'm going to SAVOR and ENJOY this year. It will go back so fast!
Photo taken on the 2nd day of school. SENOIR YEAR!
I wanted to share something that I think is just crazy cool-
This is a mixed media book that was created with HAUNTED HALLOWS. It was designed by Christi Spencer. She simply purchased an old book and created her book. She teaches workshops on how to create all these cool effects.
This is the cover of her book. She painted the stripes across the book. I love how she added the staple effect. Love it!
That reminds me to talk about PINTEREST. I posted it on my facebook page www.facebook.com/tcdesigns and got lots of questions. I was talking about how I love this site. Now it can be very addicting so I limit my time but I post things that inspire me both in art, home, jewelry, photos, etc. Pinterest is a virtual pinboard.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. To get started, request an invite.
I am on there and you can see my pinboard at http://pinterest.com/teresacollins88. I took a little screen shot of a FEW of the things in mine.
I am big on quotes and I love that I can save them in ONE place. Come join in on the fun!
Have a GREAT weekend.
