THIS WEEKEND...

Ty raced in his first BMX bike races in Farmington, Utah. He was thrilled! 

Due to my back pain, I was home when I got this text message with the photo. Ty came in 2nd place in all three races. He was over the moon excited. He had a special night with his dad last night. Ty came home and informed me he is going to be in another race in two weeks. I love that he has found a hobby that he loves again. 

McKay is home now and had a great time at EFY camp. Her favorite part of the camp was the dances, and on Thursday they did a spiritual testimony meeting. Thankfully she is feeling NO PAIN. Such a blessing!

I finally have been able to leave the house. I had lunch today with some friends- the Hicks family. It was so good to get to leave the house. We had lunch at Mimi's Cafe- love their Thai Chicken Wraps!!! I am doing a little better today. I am using ICY HEAT, taking ibuprofen, doing no bending or lifting and trying to relax more. It has kind of been a blessing in that I had to slow down the past few days. 

I'm now watching channel 613- CBS SPORTS NETWORK. The Triple Crown World Series game is playing now. Zach's team did really well, but they did not make all the way. They played three games today and finally lost. However, Zach competed in a skills day contest earlier this week and qualified to be in the home run derby tonight. I am not sure when they do it. I am thinking at half time or at the end of the game. Anyway, I am just excited that he is getting to participate and it will be a great memory! 

Staying strong....

McKay is doing so much better. She went to the doctor again just to be checked again yesterday. The medication is working and she was able to go back to EFY with okay from the doctors. So she is calling me and letting me know that she is having a GREAT time and so happy to go back.

Today, my son Ty is going to Farmington to be in his FIRST BMX bike race. Here is a quick phone photo:

He is super excited. He will be in the NOVICE category. He is a true beginner but so excited to do this. Ty is taking him and I'm unfortunately home with severe back pain. UGH! It literally rips my heart out to not be able to go watch him. Thankfully, his dad is taking the FLIP to film him for me. 

I am doing everything I can to figure out this extreme back pain problem. I have to admit, that the worst part other than the pain is being home bound for three days. ha! I am always very active and so the downtime is hard for me to adjust to. I am stretching, and being very careful. I cannot bend down without being in so much pain.  I am taking muscle relaxants and ibuprofen. I know this trial has helped me to realize what I do have and to be thankful for health and doing the simple things. I have missed two days at the gym and hope to be back on Monday.

Emergency Room... last night

Well, I got the call last night from McKay's best friend that she was in a lot of pain. In fact, I could hear her screaming in the background. Josilyn told me that they the camp nurse was giving her pain medication and wanted me to know. They thought she was just having severe cramps. I got two more calls. She was not doing better about 45 minutes later. I had asked McKay if I should come up until this point and she kept saying no. Again, thinking it was just cramps. When Josilyn called the last time, McKay is hysterically crying in pain and wanted me to come. I knew I needed to be there and drove way to fast to get to her. Thankfully, her camp is only 25 minutes from me. I about ten minutes away when I get the call that the counselor said "McKay is worse and needs to go to the hospital." I am driving and trying to call her dad and our family. We were going to met at the Emergency room.

I get there and McKay is outside surrounded by about 8 people helping her. She is hysterical and sobbing like I have never seen her. I had hurt my back yesterday and so I could barely move. It was about 10 pm at night. Josilyn insisted to go with us (she is like a sister to McKay). 

We drove straight to Primary Children Medical Center Hospital- the Emergency room. She was in so much pain that she was immediately put in a wheelchair. The other kids there were staring trying to figure out why McKay was slumping over and "wailing"- I guess that is how I would describe it.

Thankfully, McKay's dad came with Gentry, Taylor and Spencer. They got her back to exam her rather quickly. I knew by their questions that they thought she was or had been pregnant. They had us leave the room to talk to her alone. When they found out that there was no way she would or could be they tried to figure out what was causing the pain. 

We were there for hours. At one point her pulse went so low that they pinched her to get her to move. In the end, they do not know exactly what is wrong. They believe that she has problems with the lining of her stomach/intestines. Gastistis...soory- I know this is spelled wrong. I am going on VERY little sleep. The pain medication worked to dull the pain, but she is still having pain. They released her from the hospital and want her to be seen again today.

Right now, she still has the pain but not as severe. The pain pills are working, but I have to be honest. I'm a little concerned since we really do not know for sure what is going on. Thank you for all of you who have called, texted, emailed and face booked. THANK YOU!  

I will keep everyone posted, but I feel comforted to know she is going to be okay. She was given a blessing by her dad and Spencer and it really reassured me and her. Unfortunately for me, my back is worse than ever. I went to the chiropractor yesterday and it did not help at all. Hopefully, it will get better soon.

 

LONG day....

You know how some days just seem to last a lot longer in time than others. Today was one of those days. The good thing is that I got a lot done. The flip side is that I felt at times that as much as I was doing, I could not catch up with all the things that I still had left to do. I started my day at the gym. We did the farmer's mile. It was tough and now I am extremely sore. I go to the gym in the mornings, since I know I do best by getting it over with. I would make excuses to not go in the evenings if I waited. Plus, the family is asleep when I go and Ty is there with them. They never even know that I'm gone!!!!

Today Zach called to let me know that he participated in the Home Run Derby in Steamboat Springs, CO tournament. He was so excited, since now he is one of six boys who will be on CBS SPORTS TV on Saturday to compete for the 13U Winner. They will televise the championship game and then show the home run derby some time during the broadcast. It is just one of those things that as a parent you are happy that your child get's to do something that they love and will remember for the rest of his life. As many of you know, Zach plays constant baseball. It is his PASSION. He is actually playing for another team that asked him to play in this tournament with them. He will come home and next week play in another tournament in Utah. It is something that our entire family loves and supports. 

McKay called and asked me to bring her food. She was hungry (at camp!). I asked her what she needed and she said...salty chips! I had to laugh. I asked when her dinner was and it was in 30 minutes. I then talked to her and Josilyn and they informed me that they are having the "BEST TIME!!!!!" I told her to take treats and snacks, but she did not listen. Lucky for her, her aunt lives right by the camp and is going to go take her some snacks.

Earlier today it was raining so hard that it started to flood our neighborhood. It was intense. I thought about how fast things change. It was a nice day and then suddenly it turned dark. It was a reminder  to me to be grateful for the little things. I had family and friends calling with concern for our family. Our city was on the local news and several homes were flooded.

How cute is this mini book by Laura McCollough? I love how she added the die- cuts, the stamps, trims and chipboard to the book. I even see some black blingage jewels. Love the pumpkin shape book!

Here is a TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY layout by Julie Jacob. I really love how she used the POISON labels paper. The photo is great too!

Today....

It's time for registration. So we printed off all the papers to get ready for school. They now email the forms to you so that you print them off and return them for school. 

Since Zach was leaving today for a week, I had him look over all the forms. He is now officially taller than me. This is his first time away from us (his parents) for more than a day. We are already missing him!

Ty is our little go getter. He printed out all the forms himself and then proceeded to fill them out himself. This is so his personality!

McKay was not doing her forms. She was checking her facebook. She actually cleaned her room prior to going to camp. She will be at EFY (Especially for Youth) this entire week with here best friend.

It was finally time to take McKay and Josilyn to camp. I was equipped with my camera. McKay told me that she did not want any photos and to PLEASE stay in the car. Josilyn then said, "Let's do take photos!!!" I decided to take two quick photos.

I know they will look back on these photos and remember this week. They have been best friends since 7th grade. I love Josilyn and am thankful that she is such a good friend to my daughter. In all the years, they have never had a argument.  How rare is this? 

It's hard letting our kids go away, but I know these moments help to define who they are. I am keeping myself busy by deep cleaning and working on new designs. Today I tackled McKay's nasty bathroom. Oh, it was not pretty! Her clean and my clean are two entirely different things.

I took Ty to see Captain America this afternoon. He is our only kid at home this week. I am going to focus on giving him lots of one on one time this week. We enjoyed it! 

I had a great workout this morning. I am signing up for two more months tomorrow. FINALLY, I have found something that I love and am motivated to keep doing. The workouts are never the same- each day it is changed. Today I was dragging tires, and more. It felt great to be back. I found out my gym will be featured on Channel 5 news next week- it's really a great gym. If your in Utah, email me if you want to know more and maybe try it out for yourself!!!!!

Last, I want to share a CHRISTMAS HOME layout by Jamie Harper-

I love the circles. She simply cut out various papers and elements from the line to create this beautiful layout. I love the added green stitching. She also used the stamps in the collection to create some of the circles. I seriously LOVE this! It could be a super cute advent calendar idea too.

 

HOME FROM CHA....

The show went by in so fast. I can't believe how we prepare for months for a show and then it has come and gone so quickly. I am happy to report that the show was great and my lines were well received. So what is next?  I will be teaching and promoting the lines. I have so many things on my agenda in the next few months. Plus...it's time to start or finalize new products and collections. The cycle starts again. I will be doing several more episodes for the CRAFT CHANNEL network.

I want to show you a project that I did with the WORLD TRAVELER KITS. This line was so fun for me to design. The kits were a big hit! It comes with the kraft binder and all the papers are prepunched and designed for you. *note: added blingage to the book spine!

 

Booth tear down is always a mad rush. It's crazy how fast the booth is torn down compared to how long it takes to put it up. I had to leave a little early to go teach a class. It sounds like my girls, Nick and the MME boys (they were in the booth beside us) got into a little "fun time" as they waited the couple of hours for the crate to arrive. Trade shows can be so much work but a lot of fun too!!!!!

I want to thank my design team for all the beautiful projects that they created with the new lines. They inspire me with their creativity. I hope you feel the same way.

I had a wonderful day yesterday- my birthday- with my family. We went to lunch ( I had my favorite Lettuce Wraps), and went to go see LARRY CROWNE the movie with Tom Hanks and Julia Robert's. I really enjoyed it! Still a little jet lagged and went to bed at 10:30pm. It was a really great day!!!! I love birthdays. I am thankful for every day that I have on this earth with my family and friends.

I am really missing boot camp.

CHA DAY 2... Have you heard the news?????

This is Truike Bron. She is my CRAZY always smiling retailer from the Netherlands. She came to visit me today at the booth. She has three beautiful magazine and she came to the booth to show me all the projects designed with TC designs. The three magazines were FULL. First, I have to say... the designers in the magazine are amazingly talented. I loved seeing their work! Truike is a huge supporter of my company and even hosts a big event each year in a castle. Hmmm... watch to see who will teaching with her sometime in the future. wink! 

I wish I could post a photo of all the retailers that support TC designs. It is something that I value and appreciate. I work hard along with my sales team to offer excellent customer support. It is really important to me that they know how much I care and want to do everything I can to support them. I would not be working in the crafting industry if it were not for the stores that continue to support my lines. Of course, how can I not thank EACH of you...reading my blog who are buy the products and support me too? THANK YOU! Each trade show is a reminder to me of how much I love what I do and how appreciative I am for the retailers and customers who allow me this opportunity.

Melissa is working nonstop with the make n takes. I really appreciate this! I know it's hard to stand and go over and over how to create the project. She has been patient and kind and helped out so much at the show. Trust me... it is hard to say the same thing over and over for 8 hours straight. 

Today was BUSY! The girls did not even have time to eat the lunches that we had for them. I felt so bad and kept telling them to just leave and go eat. Sesil and Gentry were die hards and would not leave if we were busy. So they worked all day with no breaks. I want to know that I appreciate them. I kept trying to force them to leave but they would not stop.

After the show- we headed to Harry Caray's for dinner.

I wanted to share a layout today since most of you are not at CHA...

This layout is by JAMIE HARPER using the HAUNTED HALLOWS new collection... really love this layout! loved the stitching too. Hmmm... I love HALLOWEEN!!!!

Also, finally it's TIME to announce a special event that I will be teaching at-

I will be teaching an album track. I am beyond thrilled. I have taught at more CKU's then I can count and remember. They were truly where I first started to teach and I feel I owe them so much. I am thankful to Emily Haskell and Paula Kramer who ran the events. I learned so much. It is the reason I love to teach and when Emily asked me to return as part of the CKU REUNION teachers...well, I did not hesitate to say YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I  hope you will join us.

CHA DAY 1- HIGHLIGHTS & PRIZE

Here we are in Chicago ready to start a 8 hour day of selling. 

I always look forward to seeing the retailers, and my friends in the industry. 

Nick Nash is my new sales director, Gentry, Sesil and Melissa.

They all worked hard all day. I am  appreciative for their desire and help in selling my products. It was so busy that they brought the food back to the booth and had to eat a few bites at a time in between helping stores place their orders.

Here is a few of the booth samples that were displayed. Yvonne Blair's mini books were pure eye candy. Look at her Halloween book below with Haunted Hallows- gorgeous!

The countdown album was another Yvonne mini book. Everyone wants to recreate  her book! Collette's black frame with Haunted Hallows was a beautiful display. 

Everyone seems to really love my new stickers, chipboard, 8x8 chipboard albums, trims and brads. 

 

I taped some segments for www.scrapbook.com.

So many people think Nick looks like Edward Cullen from Twilight. Nick enjoyed it and did a video segment for www.scrapbook.com as well. 

We kept very busy with order's, doing free make n takes and talking to our customers. The show ended at 6:00 pm and we were so hungry. There was a group of us that had pizza together. Great Chicago pizza and great conversation. I am so tired I hope that I can finish this post....ha!

CHA starts tomorrow- booth set up

Today started quite early. It was a full day of booth set up. I am lucky to have the best help and we make it fun together. It's hard to believe you start with your empty concrete space and with a day 1/2 you have a booth of creative magic. It's transformed to each companies own style. I thought I would share with you a few photos from today.

 

This is the spray painted white IKEA frames that hold a collage of the papers with the collection logo. Sesil Cratin did all of these for the show. She is amazing and truly goes above and beyond in her role in my company. She is truly the most hardworking girl. I am truly fortunate to be able to work with her each day and that she is a valuable and trusted assistant and friend. I value and listen to her opinion. I am so grateful for her wisdom and kindness in her decision making. I listened to my heart and knew that I finally found the perfect girl to share this creative journey with me. 

I wish you could see World TRAVELER yourself...it is not shipping until August 1st- it is just one of my favorite collections EVER!

CHRISTMAS HOME

Here is Sesil and Gentry prepping the papers to be displayed on the wall. I love having my daughter work with me. She LOVES the shows and especially loves to be able to see the "other" side of what I do. She works very hard and brings so much fun to the show!

I have to thank AMY COON too. She has spent the last two days helping us set up the booth and more. I am so blessed to know her. We all need friends who love us and are truly there for one another. When you can be happy for each other's successes it is BIG... I think that is huge for both of us. We are each other's cheerleaders. 

During the last trade show, my gem chandelier was broken on the transit back to my office. When got here to Chicago and I had completely forgotten that there was no chandelier. So the girls and I found the nearest Home Depot and purchased this clear chandelier. It's just what I wanted. It was a great price too- $77.00. It's large too!!!!

We finally got the booth all done and we went to dinner with a large group of friends- I had never been to Gibson's before. It was delicious and the company was even better. Thank you Amy Sprague for this fabulous evening!!!! 

I need to get a copy of the group shot. We had 13 girls- but here is six of us. I made new friends tonight. I love this!!!!!

FREE- TC Stampmaker July Stamps

Patterned Papers – Pink Paislee (green dot),  October Afternoon (red dot), Cosmo            Cricket (aqua dot & rose),  Simple Stories (yellow numbers, circles, 4x6 journaling card elements,  border & title strip elements).
Stickers – Simple Stories (word strips, 100 Days of Summer cardstock stickers).
Bling – Teresa Collins (Jamie’s Gems – on cover, Maddie’s Jewels – partial on binder ring.)
Various ribbons to match papers

Chipboard – 4x6 pieces

Instructions for making:
1.  Cut the 4x6 journaling card elements apart.  Choose one for your cover.  I picked the house. 
2.  Stamp ‘Summer’ onto yellow paper and cut out.
3.  Stamp ‘2011’  (from April stamp downloads) on aqua dot paper and cut out.
4.  Adhere 4x6 journaling card of choice to chipboard.  Sand edges, if desired.
5.  Adhere summer stamp over ribbon to cover.  Adhere 2011.
6.  Add bling, stickers & ribbon.

For the insides of the book, just continue to adhere the 4x6 journaling cards to chipboard.  (Makes it so easy to put a book together!)  Adhere photos to the back of each page.   Add stamps, stickers and journaling…all done!

These are the days....

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon on the lake. It is one of my all time favorite activites to do with my family. We took our nephew with us and we had a great time. I took way too many photos, but I am of the opinion that you can NEVER go back and take those photos. So I thought I would share a few photos from yesterday. 

Zach, Ty, little Bret (my nephew), and McKay were so excited to take the boat out. 

He was excited that he got to knee and wake board. He learned how last Summer and was afraid he would have forgotten how to get up again.

It was so fun having McKay with us. If you have teenagers you KNOW how hard it can be to keep them at home with you. She is so busy with drill and going to her church Young Women's camps. I am still in disbelief that she will be in 12th GRADE this coming school year.

I made sure that I was in at least one photo from the day. I wore so much sunscreen but missed a spot on my knee and got very burned. The sun always makes me really tired after a long day. It didn't help that we worked our legs hard at the gym yesterday so my legs felt like jello and I could barely move- ha!

Ty and Bret loved going fast on the tube. Of course, I think they were MAYBE going 10 mph. Loved watching the kids laugh and having a great time.

Just love these kind of days!!!!!

I leave for CHA in two short days. I am actually caught up and on track to be all ready to go. Today I get to tackle going to the DMV. I have to renew my drivers license now or when I return I will be driving illegally. I am prepared for a LONG line and wait today.

WORLD TRAVELER meets Inspiration Unlimited 2011

I am fortunate in my business to get to travel quite a bit. I love meeting new people and sharing my passion. So that is why for the past several years, I like to introduce new TRAVEL collections. This next week will be the DEBUT of WORLD TRAVELER. I decided to share with you the ACTUAL project that I will be teaching at my event in Henderson Nevada- INSPIRATION UNLIMITED. I am excited for September. This is actually the new WORLD TRAVELER binder kit. It comes with all the pages and the KRAFT binder. So here is a little peek-

*This kit comes with the BLACK and WHITE (PARIS) stickers as well. I added the WT trims, brads and chipboard to this cover. It's really an amazing kit to scrapbook your trip. The binder comes "naked"- and I put on this WT map paper.

Here is the inside view of the album. Yes, I made it into file folder pages and each page is already done for you. You just put in your photos and journaling. *INSPIRATION UNLIMITED 2011 girls- watch for more visuals on the website very soon. This is a big fun project that I hope you will LOVE! 

If you are interested in coming to the event- get on the waiting list. We are sold out but then you will be on the list for next year-2012. HINT- since this event is smaller (300 participants) and we want to keep it that way, WATCH for another exciting announcement on how Ginger and I are trying to allow more girls to get to come to the event. Ginger is the event coordinator, book keeper, accountant, etc. She is amazing and keeps me in line. HA! We together plan this event and since it is just us...it's so much work. WE LOVE IT though. Off to the gym. I hear we are going to feel like our legs are jello/slimy NOODLES after todays workout. I'm a little scared. ha! I love to push myself and face those challenges. We are going boating this afternoon for the FIRST time this Summer. I worked late into the night so I could relax, focus and spend the day with my family. FAMILY FIRST even during CHA boot camp week!!!!!!!!

This week is always a crazy one for me. You know getting ready to go to Chicago for the Craft & Hobby Trade Show. I have been working on samples, classes and booth stuff non-stop. This is the crunch time! I thought I would show you a few projects everyday since most of you reading my blog will not be attending the show. I hope you enjoy!

This is the FREE 12x12 Haunted Hallows layout that we will be doing at the trade show. Yes, you can make your own Haunted Hallows layout. This layout is designed by Jamie Harder. We will be doing this layout on Tuesday- the day the show begins. 

One word to describe- ADORABLE!!!!

 This is a little mini book that I designed with my new 8x8 chipboard covers, chipboard elements, (yes, I made them into hanging book charms), and my new trims...all from Haunted Hallows. I love Halloween and so I have so much fun with this newest collection.

I'm in love with this altered large frame by Collette Nederhoff. Making home decor from my collections is really easy with this new line. 

I am happy to say that I'm still going EVERY morning (unless I'm out of town) to my gym. I love it and today I lifted more than I've ever done. Plus now, I can finally do full body weight squats and get my bottom to touch the ground. MAJOR accomplishment! I have learned something about this boot camp experience. I have learned that WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN DO... you do! If you think you can do it- then you will. Negative talk will get you no where. I now know that the LIMITS we put on ourselves are truly what HOLD us back. BELIEVE and it can and will happen.

Today I get to take Ty to get his 7th grade shots and RENEW my drivers license. Hmmmm... long lines I think.

You set the table up early in the day and it's then wheeled into the live studio about 10 minutes before you go on air.

I spray painted all my frames WHITE and put the projects inside the frames!

HOME from HSN

I got back late last night from my quick trip to Tampa, FL to go on HSN again. It went GREAT and we sold so many TC Stampmakers. I have photos to share tomorrow! I have to say that if you saw me on TV, that the make up artist put A LOT of make up on me for the 3:42 am airing. I hardly recognized myself. HA! About 1-2 hour prior to going on TV the guests have their hair and make up down by their professional make up artist at HSN. It's really nice to let them take care of this. There is nothing like live TV and I love being about to share what I am passionate about. Did you know that HSN had the TC Stampmaker on their front page over the weekend? I love this machine. I now create in a whole new way to personalize all my crafting projects. I even wore jewelry that was made with the Stampmaker. THANK YOU CHERI PILES for creating all the jewelry for the show. The pieces were beautiful!

Today I am home from church and am creating projects. I leave in SIX short days for CHA trade show to show off the newest collections. My crate leaves my warehouse on Tuesday morning, so I will be playing and creating today as I watch HGTV. It's just one of things I love to do as I create. I am on the family kitchen table so I can be crafty and with the family at the same time.

NEW TC CHA products release- FINALLY!!!!!

I am sitting in the airport on my way to HSN. I will be on Friday at 6:00 pm Eastern 7/8/2011 and again on Saturday morning at 3:00 am (EST). I will be selling the TC Stampmaker. I hope you will tune in and watch. I will be wearing monogramed jewelry on the show that was made with the TC Stampmaker....

 Introducing my THREE new paper collections. I am seriously LOVING working with these new papers. I have lots of embellishments that go with each collection. This is my new HAUNTED HALLOWS- I love doing HALLOWEEN papers. 

Here is some layouts done by the SO talented Jamie Harder. She used so many of the papers together and I loved how she mixed them so beautifully.

Travel is another one of my FAVORITE collections to design. I love the maps, brocade, luggage tags etc. It is textured too! I love the weight of the papers.

Here is a view of my 8x8 Chipboard book covers, travel stickers, and die cut paper too! I am teaching this entire album in October at the CKU REUNION event. I created this album about my recent trip to Brisbane, Australia. I am so in love with the feel of this collection.

I loved the book so much, I scraplifted myself (ha!) and created a similar book in 7x10 format to teach at SCRAPFEST in September(a trip to the Caribbean). 

I love Stacy Michauds travel layout too-

I love how she used little pieces of the collection to create this page. The papers have a beautiful green mixed into the collection. The papers are also all textured.

This collection is filled with warmth and colors to evoke feelings of Christmas at home. I have to say the GREEN in this line is so beautiful that you will be tempted to use it on other projects too! This line was so fun to design-

I wanted a real rich and vibrant red for this line. I was a little obsessed with the reindeer this year too!

Long day of flying ahead....going to Florida!!!!! 

 

Time to FLY

I'm having a fun busy day today. It started with my workout at the park. There was lots of running, burpees, push ups and SWEATING. I came home drenched. I love it and it really pushes me. I feel so GREAT every day AFTER I am done. I dread when I travel now...because I hate miss working out. So I have decided to KEEP going to the gym I go too (they are the BEST!) and keep pushing myself. I feel amazing. I have to be honest and say that my body is not changed all that much. It's more tone, but nothing dramatic. Where I feel it...is VERY mental. I feel GREAT!!!!

So today I am headed to the mall to find something to wear on HSN this Friday and Saturday. I will be on air Friday at 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time and again on Saturday morning at 3:00 am EST. I fly into Tampa on Thursday afternoon. I had a lot of fun designing the table set for the show. It is Summer- lots of WHITE frames with colors that reminded me of Summer!!!!! I love skirts so I hope I can find a cute white one. 

Zach has a league tournament this week in baseball. They won this first game last night and will play again tonight. I have lots to do so that I can go. Time management is something I have worked at for years and finally feel like I'm doing better with it. I have a notebook and calendar with me ALWAYS! I try to multi-task and keep my to do list up to date. 

So here is a little peek at one of the projects that will be on HSN this weekend. It is an altered book by Amy Coon. She created all the stamps in this project with the TC Stampmaker. I will be on air selling the machine. This is my third time going back to sell the machine. It sold out BOTH times that I went on before. I am showing lots of beautiful new projects on HSN. I will share more later!

FAMILY. FREEDOM. GOD. COUNTRY

This weekend holiday was full of good- actually GREAT memories. We played a lot of baseball. On the championship day today, Zach's team lost 2-1. However, they did great and it was great weather. I took the girls and Ty & Spencer to the STADIUM of FIRE on Saturday night. Each of us took our cameras. I wanted to just take lots of photos. I am a firm believer that photos are a reminder to us in the future of our memories. A snapshot will often take us back to that time and place. 

I hope that my children someday will remember all the silly good times that we have had together. Gotta love McKay's silliness in this photo! She loves to do things like this.

We decided to get dinner prior to the concert. Chili's is one of our family's go to fave's. We can always find something that everyone will eat. I always get Chicken Fajitas. ha!

This is Spencer and Taylor. I met Spencer two years ago on July 4th. Taylor brought him to the Murray parade and I KNEW then that they were serious. I could tell LOVE was in the air. They had barely started to date at this point. 

I have to say that I love having a photo of myself with my three girls. You know as they get older it get's harder and harder to get us all in the photo together. 

 

I love taking photos of them together. They used to fight so much when they were younger and now they are best friends. I have to say this brings me so much joy. I know that throughout life they will be there for each other. 

Ty has a special bond with his new "brother" Spencer too. He wants to hang out with him and it's so cute. At the concert, he sat by Spencer and shared his popcorn.

At this point, my kids were getting tired of all my photos. The lady behind us was smiling and could tell that I was probably a scrapbooker. Then she asked us to take her family photos. LOVE this!!!!!
 

Gentry is changing and growing up too fast! She is working for me this Summer as she prepares to go back for her 2nd year at Brigham Young University. She has still not decided which ART program to do since she got accepted into both that she applied too. 

This is Taylor. She is going to be 21 next month. I am one SUPER blessed mother. Taylor is very protective of me. She is very similar to me. In fact, we both cried at the show. We looked over as we were singing "The Star Spangled Banner", we noticed a father wiping his eyes and crying as we stood and sang. I knew instantly he was crying probably due to tender feelings for someone who has served or is serving our country. It was tender and sweet and I was brought to tears. I tapped Taylor and she then started to cry as well. It was truly a special moment. You could feel the thankfulness in the air that was felt. The entire weekend, I focused and thought about FAMILY. FREEDOM. GOD. COUNTRY. It was on the program at the stadium and I kept thinking about it. I prayed and focused on the gratitude that I feel for these things. It is something that I feel each day.

These two girls are complete opposite in personality. I love how close they have become since they were on drill team together.

The headliner was BRAD PAISLEY.

He was a great entertainer. He knows how to perform and get the crowd involved. This was my first time seeing him in concert. I love his music and now I'm a even bigger fan! 

David did a great performance too. He sang five songs. The young girls were IN LOVE with him. They sang all his songs and he definitely had a huge fan base. He seemed so happy to be back home in Utah.

The end of the show ended with FABULOUS fireworks. It was a magical, fun and memorable day!

So much to be thankful and grateful for....I truly feel so thankful for the freedom that we have. I am thankful to be able to believe as I do and have religious freedom. I am thankful for the men and women who have and do fight to protect our great country. It is something that mere words cannot articulate the profound appreciation that I feel in my heart. 

STADIUM OF FIRE 2011

Last year, I took the kids (Zach and Ty were in NY at Cooperstown playing baseball) and we went to dinner and then to the Stadium of Fire. It is  a big concert with HUGE fireworks at the end. The stadium if FULL- it sells out and it's really just a great night of fun. Last year, we saw Carrie Underwood. Luck would have it, Zach has a game at the same time as the show. So I sold the tickets and will be talking the rest of the family to the show. 

I am from North Carolina and am a huge country music fan. I love that Brad Paisley will be performing tonight. Taylor and Spencer will be with us too. They got engaged to his song, "I thought I loved you THEN" and I KNOW if he sings it tonight.... there will be tears shed. 

Also, gotta love David Archuleta our Murray hometown boy. His voice is like an angel and he is just one of the nicest guys around. 

So be prepared for photos tomorrow.

It's FRIDAY... enjoying Heber

I'm up in Heber this morning, getting ready for the FIRECRACKER wood bat baseball tournament. Of course, this is what we do most 4th of July weekends. Heber is a beautiful smaller community in the mountains in Utah. So nice to get away for the day!!!! I woke up super excited about so many good things. I first want to congratulate my friend AMY COON on her new site www.thepaperlife.com. It is full of her creations and she debuted designs that you can download and print for the TC Stampmaker. They are great for mixed media stamps too!

IN ONE WEEK... I will be on HSN again. Yes, I will be flying to Tampa FL again and I will be on twice on Friday. I am looking forward to this trip since I am meeting up with a few girlfriends at the same time. So it's work but a little fun mixed in too!

Next week- I will be debuting my new collections too. It's going to be a very busy week. I am just RELIEVED that I got all my Scrapfest projects designed and overnighted this week. I love what I do and deadlines really keep me going!!! Also, I just finished the projects that I will be teaching at my own event- yes, INSPIRATION UNLIMITED!!!! They are OVER THE TOP this year. So girls that are coming...be prepared for BIG projects from me. Watch for visuals soon. If you are on the waiting list for IU PLEASE know that we are doing everything we can to try to accomodate more crafters. In fact... don't tell but I have a big SECRET that I will announce at the next IU. If you are on the waiting list- you will get an email about it. I promise it's GOOD!!! I have felt so bad that so many of you have not been able to come and join in on the fun. wink! We start baseball in about an hour...so off I go.
