Instructions:
Preparing your page components:
1. Cut the following pieces from your papers:
- Core Amour On the Edge Gears 8.25” X 9.5”
- Cut the star border from the Tags paper, 10.9” long
- Distressed Dots 2.75” X 9.25”
- Cut a 1.75” X 4.25” piece of the Core Guitar paper, being sure a few stars show
2. Sand your Core Amour Gears paper so that only a few gears show through.
Assembling your page:
- Start with the Guitar Paper as your base (Use the black side)
- Place your Core paper down, about an inch from the left side. Place the Stars border and the Distressed Dots paper along the right hand side.
- I like to create photo blocks as the starting point of my layouts and build from there. To ground my photo, I placed the small piece of Core Guitar paper along the right edge of the Core Gears paper. I layered a light blue die-cut and then the triangular black die-cut. Then I put my photo down.
- To make a strong horizontal line that has some movement, I layered the circular die-cut tag and the chipboard gears along the bottom of my photo.
- I added some silver trim in a curvy pattern and placed some smaller elements like the brads.
- The top left hand corner seemed bare so I made my own little banner flags. I simply used the gears die-cut border. I cut them into varying lengths and then cut a triangle in the bottom to make a flag!
