It is SNOWING here. I am home watching General Conference on the TV with my family. I have a tender heart today. I am so thankful for those tender mercies. I came across something that once I read it, I knew it hit home to me.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. we ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." I loved this. I am not sure who said it. I know that I am a firm believer in looking for the good in not only ourself but in others. We should build each other up. For well over a year, I have had constant and nonstop hurtful and threats from a person that wants to TEAR ME DOWN. This person has not stopped and has only gotten worse. I have come to realize that this trial was given to me to help me grow. I truly believe with all my soul that we will be accountable for what we do to others. I know that I have the hope and a firm belief that I am stronger than this trial. DAILY...as I get messages of UGLY, HATE and MEANNESS..I think... BITTER OR BETTER. It is your choice. IT is HOW I choose to respond and look at the constant harassment. I don't dwell on it. I KNOW that Heavenly Father loves me. I know he loves EACH of us. I am bigger than this. I will not share the UGLY on the blog now. I want you to come to my blog and feel the happiness that I truly have in my heart, home and family. However, I felt a strong need to share with YOU. IF you have someone or something that TEARS you down and HURTS or threatens you then- PLEASE dig deep and realize that YOU are of WORTH. No matter what you look like, your weight, etc. YOU ARE LOVED exactly as you are. I hope you know you are DIVINE. We are all Heavenly Father's children. Maxson took his FIRST steps last night. Kayla and Matt caught it on video and posted on FACEBOOK. I cried with JOY! Such happy and tender moments of this sweet life. I sure love this little boy. Thanks to all the girls who came out to Robert's Crafts last night. I was busy the entire time. I loved every moment of it. I love talking to all the girls. Kyle, one of my newest sales directors went to the event. It was his first time experiencing a creative event. I think he really enjoyed it! We made POSH crepe flowers. My husband and son's had a boy's night attending the men's session of General Conference. Then Ty took the boys to dinner. It's a father/son tradition. |
It is SNOWING here today but I wanted to share with you the SWEETEST birdcage. Hopefully it will bring Spring here to Utah soon.

Instructions:
1. I found this birdcage wall hanging at Hobby Lobby and spraypainted it flat white. The front
opens for easy access to decorating the inside.
2. Trace the shape of the back piece out of the Pink Stripe paper and glue the paper to the
backing. Punch out the frame from the NOTATIONS kit and Stamp a key on it at the
top.
3. Leaving at least a 1 ¼” space at the bottom of the backing, Place the photo, and the frame
as shown in photos and I then took a scrap of the gray
houndstooth and corner rounded the top edges. This scrap is only about ½” tall and
4” wide. Tuck under top of photo and use for journaling whatever you like. I stamped
a clock on the gray houndstooth (also a scrap) and cut out. I stamped the border
stamp along the right side of my photo and tucked the clock under the bottom right
corner to finish it off.
4. Cut a piece of the Timeless Flower Trim to fit the bottom of the backing. I placed a
Decorative brad in the center of each flower using a variety of styles. This strip
of trim is then glued along the bottom edge of the whole back of cage inside.
5. Using, Photoshop, I printed the words “Birds of a Feather Flock Together” using the
Old Script Font on a piece of the Gray Damask paper. I then freeform cut a bird
with the words in the center of the bird body. I applied a line of glue around the bird
shape and accented with Gentry’s glitter. Make an eye with a gem.
6. Cut out a crown and a label from the Labels paper. I glued the Crown to the birds head
and added gems to accent the crown. This bird and crown get glued to the outside
of the birdcage and I placed the journaling label below it. Secure all of these with hot glue
7. I cut a piece of the Black lace trim and attached the wings, key and Ashley’s necklace.
This gets tied on to one of the upper left hand sides of the bars to dangle.
8. I used the remaining Timeless Pink Flower trim to make the accents at the top and both the
flowers at top have brads in them. The final flower is used inside with a brad in center to
add to the upper left corner of photo.
9. Journal whatever you wish on the tags inside with a Zig pen.
