It is almost a new day...but while it is still VALENTINE'S, I wanted to express my love for my family. I woke up this morning and hurried out the door to take my kids to school. I was running a little late and as I rushed in to take my last child to school, I noticed a HUGE big vase of flowers. Tyler had went to work and had put the flowers at the end of the counter for me to find. I found a love letter and a little gift. He had noticed that I was out of my favorite perfume and went to the store and got it for me. I have worn Light Blue for a LONG time now. I so appreciate his thoughtfulness! Then when I got into my car I noticed that he had got up at 6am and filled my car up with gasoline. I was on empty on Saturday night- ha!
I had VALENTINES notes and treats for the kid's teachers and for each of my family member. I love that the kids really love having their yearly "love" gifts. This year I gave them special fortune cookies (thanks Cindi) that had love notes inside the cookies. They are nothing like your normal fortune cookies. They are big maybe 3' wide.
I spent the morning tending to some business and it took much longer than I had anticipated. However, the outcome will be worth all the effort. I raced to met a dear close friend for lunch. It ended up being THREE hours. I raced to pick my kids up from school and make a special DINNER for Zach, Ty and McKay. I put out the red plates for "love" and served chicken cordon bleu. We got the kids all settled and Ty took me to dinner. What I love most about tonight was the chance we get to talk about life and be together. He is my rock and I told him that I am so thankful to be married to my very best friend. I know that he will always support me, but I know that he is honest with me. I need that from him. Daily I will ask him for his opinion regarding my business decisions. I appreciate that he will tell me the truth- even when it is not what I want to hear. Our personalities are quite opposite at times...we balance each other out.
I hope you too were able to spend it with someone or people that you love. I think the world would be a greater place if we would share MORE love and greater kindness to each other.
