Yesterday, my girls were all home and we went shopping together (NO we did not find the dress), and had lunch at Chili's. My heart is a tender as I write this. Being a mother-it is truly my GREATEST happiness in life. I don't know why I was blessed with such sweet kids but I am. I cherish the time with my family. When I had my stroke, it was the only thought I had... I wanted to live to be with them. TODAY- I am GRATEFUL!
We took some photos before we went out for the day-
They used to fight like crazy when they were young. Now they are SO close and really appreciate each other. Gentry is the appointed STYLIST of the family. She is the one we ask, "Does this look good?" She loves this role. Going away to college has changed her. She is now more open to show her emotions, share more and she actually hugs me MORE now. Gentry started a book when she started college- a quote book. It's all positive and uplifting thoughts. She shared it with me and I turned into a puddle of tears. I had done the SAME thing at college.
Taylor is the big sister with the BIG HEART. She lights up the room with her kindness and she likes to take care of people. She would do anything for her sibilings.
She did not want her photo taken. She felt "uncute." Doesn't she know that TRUE BEAUTY can't be hidden. SHE shines from the inside!
This is darling Ali and Taylor. This is her neice. I watched Taylor all afternoon with her. She is so sweet and nurturing. Often, people ask what Taylor wants to do with her life. Right now, she has a great job (wink- working for her dad) and wants to be a GREAT mommy someday.
McKay had just got home from drill practice and true to her nature agreed to take some photos with her sister. She doesn't know how much it means to me when yesterday she kept saying..." I love you MOMMY."
We went to lunch and we just LAUGHED and talked about life. At one point I said to the girls, "I want to share something with you. Gentry said...Oh wait, Mom is going to cry! I said, I'm not but quickly was proven wrong. I told them, I want you to know that THIS- being with you is my GREATEST moments in life. Nothing compares to moments like this. "
I meant it. I couldn't help but cry. They were happy tears and I just felt so THANKFUL. I know I express this a lot. I just feel it so deeply and profoundly that I have to share what REALLY matters most to me. I love you girls with all my heart forever!!!!!!
