Yesterday, Taylor and Spencer came over to visit with the family. I was THRILLED when they asked me if I would take some photos of them the night before they came. I realize that my photography obsession has been given to Taylor. I am always telling my kids to TAKE lots of photos of their life. I always have a camera in my bag. It was a beautiful Spring day in Utah. I decided to head to Murray Park and take their photos there.
We get there and I realize that my big camera will not turn on. Oh, this is somewhat embarrassing. I did not prepare properly. So being the photo crazy girl that I am, I have my smaller travel camera in my purse. I did not really get the photos that I probably would have gotten with the better camera...but I was thrilled to get to take their photos regardless.
Taylor has changed in the last few months. Maybe not physically but she has grown in a way that makes me proud. I guess it comes with her getting married. Many of you know her from my scrapbook event, INSPIRATION UNLIMITED. She will be coming again this year and will actually help teach a workshop with me. Yes, SHIMMERZ is in one of our event sponsors. So this is the perfect workshop to share with my artistic daughter.
They are so in love, so supportive of each other and well, they are just good for each other. I think Taylor's smile says it all!
Spencer seems pretty happy too!!! They are still broke college kids BUT they find fun in the simple things- like picnics, a game of basketball or sharing a bag of popcorn (directly from them!)
They wanted me to take photos of them and document their life together. They have been married now 4 1/2 months.
They wanted a lot of FUN shots. They are a playful couple...always laughing- Taylor is such a yellow personality.
Spencer is almost done with his latest semester in college. Taylor helps him (she is really good with Math) and supports him. They are going at the end of the month to Washington DC for the Summer. They are going to go sell home security alarms with Matt and Kayla. Technically, Spencer will sell and Taylor will get a job somewhere as well. I know they are excited, but I am going to miss them.
I am thinking I am going to have to get on a plane and visit all the kids (and MAXSON) during the Summer.
Okay...Spencer even let me take some photos of him. He really is a good guy to put up with me!!! I am just so happy that HE loves and adores my Taylor so much.
Who could ask anything more?
I always dreaded my kids getting married...what I did not realize was that it only adds MORE to life. More love and more blessings. I am thankful to see both Matt and Taylor find love and working hard to keep a strong marriage. I love knowing that all because TWO people fell in love- we are all here!!!!!
Love is a beautiful thing...
