So this is what I am reading and working on-
The Creative Entrepreneur

Such a great book. Melody Ross had read the book and I was able to see her book at Brave Girl's Camp in October. I was at Barnes and Noble this weekend and it was on an end cap. It was a message to me.

I often get emails asking me about how I STARTED in the scrapbook industry, and for me this entire journey has been one of lots of learning, growth and huge fulfillment. So this book was one I felt not only will keep me focused but would may be of interest to some of you. The book is by LISA SONORA BEAM.

A little bit about the book:

I love the chapter on FEELING... (it has to do with emotional responses and how we experience emotions)

Negative feelings: envy, jealousy, pettyness, impatience, rage, grief/loss, unworthy, futile, low self-esteem, guilt, fear, doubt.

So much more to the guidebook, and plan to create my own VISUAL journal.

Yesterday, Ty surprised me with a get away to downtown SLC. A quick overnight trip to stay at

This is the Grand American Hotel. It's a wonderful hotel if you ever make your way to Salt Lake City. It's about 10 minutes from the airport. It was built for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Sometimes it is just so nice to try to get away as a couple. Even if it is only for a night or a few hours.

We went to one of my favorite restaurants- The Roof.

It overlooks the Salt Lake Valley. The view from our table was so beautiful-

After dinner was done this was the view of the city center. The Roof has an amazing buffet and we left stuffed. You should see the desserts- and I had to sample several-wink! I think my favorite's were the Mahi Mahi (served a bit Cajun) and the chocolate covered strawberries!!!!

The best part of the day was spending time with Ty, and laughing at the silliest things. He always tells me that I am a nut!!!! For example, the bathrooms in the hotel rooms had a telephone. I picked it up and started talking to Ty. Very random, things... like What are you doing now???? He was in the room and could hear me in the room through the intercom system. We were only a few feet apart. I know,.. silly!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to us....

TODAY is our wedding anniversary- yes, honestly it seems like FOREVER- in the best way possible. I can't imagine not having Ty in my life. He is my VERY best friend and he supports me like no other. We blended a family and well, it was VERY hard at  first. The first couple of years, I thought often..."this is so hard, can we really do this???" Our love and unconditional commitment helped us. When we got married Ty told me...

"You are stuck with me. Divorce is never an option."

Yes, and he and I have used this to work through our problems, misunderstanding and learned to GROW from our differences.  I made him a couple of LOVE projects that I gave to him today:

I made a large "pocket" holder and put a 5x7 album inside the middle. This is my Mr & Mrs collection. I LOVE YOU...the perfect paper for really anything love!!!!

I made a flower from the papers- the word love paper. I had to add lots of SPARKLE from my stash too.

I always do a home crafted book with my love thoughts each year for Ty. It is important to me to WRITE how I feel and the thoughts I have in some type of card or book.

I am using my latest stamps like CRAZY! I  couldn't wait and smeared the ink last night. I was trying to hide the book from Ty and well- it's a little smeared. Hey- EMBRACE IMPERFECTION....

I used the TC T-drop (RED) for the pop of color. I am so using these T-drops on EVERYTHING. HA!!!! I used a favorite old journal to create the lined pages. Then I used  the Mr & MRS collection too.

 

Ty has a big surprise for me...and we are going to go do something tonight.

It's a surprise...

I know we are headed to one of my all time FAVORITE restaurants ever tonight- THE ROOF.

Happy Anniversary Ty- remember, I lOVE YOU more than anything you can think, say or feel.

I am so thankful and so appreciate-

I had the dreaded yearly mammogram appointment yesterday-

you girls KNOW how stressful this is. It gives me perspective and a thankfulness

of appreciating. Appreciate EVERY day and strive to be HAPPY.

Today I was driving home from the gym and I thought about 

how I am happiest when I am not focusing on ME and my problems, but 

when I am focusing on OTHERS through kindness & service

and trying to do things that make the world a better place.

A couple months ago, I decided to SERVE my teenage daughters. They were at their dad's for the weekend and their room was horrible. I mean NASTY horrible. I decided to clean it from top to bottom and do a deep clean. I hung new photos and when they came home they 

were so happy and they knew it was a way for me to show how much I love them.

PS... I am a firm believer in letting your kids clean their own rooms. This was a RARE and special event. ha!!!!!

Today I am working on upcoming releases and then taking a break to go to the movies with the kids. I have been so busy and this break is JUST what I need. Plus, my

family is my everything and I want to be with always.

Giving something GOOD away....

Beautiful Cards- Good Things Utah segment

The above link is to watch the segment today on Good Things Utah. I showed the Chic Bebe stamps and lots of samples of cards. PHOTO CREDIT: Joanna Taylor Photography. I've spent the last couple of hours tryng to embed the image on the blog. I even skyped Stephanie and so we are not quite sure why it is not working. Here is what I showed today on the show-

I showed the stamps and how you can make baby card announcements, thank you  or congratulations cards. I had lots of samples using the Chic Bebe papers and my cards and envelopes. Here are some visuals-

When I arrived at the studio this morning, I found out that Marie Osmond would be on the show too. She is so cute and sweet-

Here she is showing her skinny jeans with zippers and her shoes. She is very tiny and I can't imagine that she really needed to ever do any weight loss program.

I had met her years ago, when I was a new mom. I was at a clothing store for babies in Provo. I was holding Gentry and at the timeshe was about 6 weeks old. Marie came up to me and said the sweetest compliment about how she thought my baby was so pretty etc. I did not look up and said "thank you." I was too busy shopping- they had the best sells at this store!!!! She walked away as I looked up...then I realized that it was Marie who was so friendly and kind to me. I told her that story today when I was talking to her.

Seriously, she is just a sweetheart and I love that she does so much good in the world. She is the founder of Children's Miracle Network. Today at all IHOP restaurants if you go eat at the restaurant EVERYTHING- all proceeds are donated to the charity. Guess where our family is headed after I finish this post???? IHOP. A great way to give back and you get dinner too- wink!!!!

So here is a set of Chic Bebe Girl cards- all things TC:

I love that this stamp is so versatile- It's a Girl. There are several cards and envelopes in this set. I have them now to give to any of my friends who happens to have a girl.

This is the Chic Bebe Boy stamps- I love the BIG crown...and I added little tan gems (my mind's eye) to the crown. This is so simple and QUICK to make as a card!!!!

Okay- today was fabulous!!!!

After I finished my segment on the show, I raced to the elementary school and helped in the boy's classroom. I love being in their class and seeing them around their friends.

Then, I had lunch with my friend Kerrie and I love her. She makes me want to be a better person. I am thankful to have her as an example. She works in the industry and we get together and talk about being a wife and mother. She was a light to me today!!!

Okay- I hope the TV link works, if not I will keep working on it...AFTER I take my hungry crew to IHOP...

The cat is out of the bag- and I can share with you something very special to me. I am going to be at the CASUAL BLOGGER CONFERENCE.  Who would have thought how the world of blogging would change my life? I first started to blog about 4 years ago when I was designing for a company called Junkitz. I had never thought to keep a blog until then, but realized then that it was a great way for me to journal and document my story & life. When I resigned from Junkitz, I printed out my blog post and created a HUGE book. I started using my personal blog (here!!!) a little over two years ago and haven't looked back.

Now, I am thrilled about the conference. Happy to be involved and be able to participate. I'll share a little more on Wednesday what I am doing. The special guests coming are so inspiring and full of GOOD inspiration both in life and all things blogging. One of the girls that I'm looking forward to hearing is Courtney Kendrick. Her BLOG was one that I found last year and now read faithfully. Many in the scrapbook community had heard about Courtney's sister and brother in law's- near fatal plane crash. I read a post on Margie Aslett-Romney's blog about the Nielson family and the plane crash. I went to the Stephanie's blog that night and stayed up for hours reading about Stephanie's and her family. I did not know her or her beautiful family until that night. I could not stop crying and praying for their family. I felt from reading her blog- that I knew her. I admired her spirit and great love for her husband, children, family and God.  Stephanie's sister kept up Stephanie's blog and kept the world updated on the family process. I know for me, I was changed FOREVER by Stephanie and her faith. Actually, Courtney and her entire family helped me in ways that words do not express. If you have heard their story or seen Stephanie on Oprah or TV, you can see why the story is one that will change your entire outlook on what is most important in life.

When I heard she would be at the conference, I was so thankful. I believe strongly by their willingness to  SHARE on their blog's- www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com.  They have helped so many. Anyway, I did not mean to go on and on...but this conference is going to be special. You're all invited- come join us!!!!

Now... I have to go to the gym..not in the mood at all- but making myself!!!!

Who is your example????

 My girls are such good friends. They performed on Friday night at the high school basketball game and I asked them if I could take a photo of them before they went. McKay, Gentry and one of their best friends Katie. I am so happy knowing that my two girls are so close and drill (being on the same team) has brought them even closer.

 Here is a photo of Gentry and Katie. I am so lucky that my girls have good friends that are good examples to them.

Last night- I stayed up until about 2 am. I am such a night owl but it's hard to want to get out of bed the next day. I have 9 am church and today I was even 10 minutes late...yikes!!!! However, I had the best day and I was so "energized" by touched by the messages today.

I have had so much to think about lately and something was said to me this week (thanks ELISA) and it struck a big chord- when things happen in life that are hard to face:

YOU have a CHOICE-

YOU can be  BITTER or YOU can be BETTER!!!!!

I want to say that I choose to be better. I thought about what my friend said often this week. Today the lesson in church was centered on EXAMPLE.

WHO IS YOUR EXAMPLE?  Brother Brown talked about people we are inspired by and want to be like. He mentioned how Dale Earnhardt was an example to him- and he was such a fan of the race car driver. Then he mentioned that we all have people that we wish we could be MORE like them. He then spoke of Jesus Christ and how HE is the PERFECT example to want to be like.

I felt so much PEACE and I knew that I am TRY every day to be a better ME. For me, HE is my example. Jesus is my comforter, rock and Savior. One of my favorite songs is a song that they sing in Primary (the children under 12)...

I’m trying to be like Jesus;
I’m following in his ways.
I’m trying to love as he did, in all that I do and say.
At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice,
But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers,

 I’m trying to love my neighbor;
I’m learning to serve my friends.
I watch for the day of gladness when Jesus will come again.
I try to remember the lessons he taught.
Then the Holy Spirit enters into my thoughts, saying:

“Love one another as Jesus loves you.
Try to show kindness in all that you do.
Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought,
For these are the things Jesus taught.”

I can be BETTER...and so I am thankful TODAY for that reminder!!!!!

My family and I are getting ready to have family dinner and then watch the Olympics (ice skating- figure skating) tonight. The perfect day!!!!!

TODAY...

is such a GREAT day- you know when things happen and YOU know it's going to change YOU and your life. Well, I am having lunch today with a wonderful association- two woman and it's all centers from blogging. Yes, who would have thought years ago that by having a blog and sharing yourself and life others can and do notice???? I am actually going to go to their blog conference here in SLC soon and well... I can't share just yet...but I truly believe that daily we can help others by sharing.

I am working on a new releases right now...and they are just flowing- I can hardly sleep at night!!! It feels so good and that is what I was sharing with Ty yesterday. Being CREATIVE does bring happiness to me. I mailed off my project to Creative Escape last week- how fun is this???? The line up of teachers is amazing. Bazzill mailed out a box with lots of adhesive from Tombow and a gift --- I got yesterday. What a top notch company!!!!!! I love card stock... and they sent a little book with tons of their colors and textures.

My company blog debuts TOMORROW...going live!!!! Can you believe it???? I have been meaning to do this for a long time. I can't wait for you to see it! Stephanie has been working hard on making it beautiful and functional.

This way we can show more of things and step out some of our projects-

College and TRUST- (long)

Well, we are in SENIOR days at our house. Gentry is trying to decide which college to go to. Last night, she found out that she was accepted at Brigham Young University-

Of course, since I went to BYU- and both her dad's, her brother and we are big fans of the university and academic program. Can I admit- I hope she will go there??? She is kind of leaning towards USU- Utah State University because her close friend,
Ashley is wanting her to go with her.

I am trying to let her make the decision- but it's hard. I admit- I want her as close to me as possible. BYU is a fast 40 minutes away from HOME... USU is 2 hours- too far...wink! Gentry said she will make her decision based on the scholarship offers-(they will send those out in about two weeks) Can I tell you how thankful I am that SHE was so self motivated and worked hard at school and balanced countless hours on the drill team???

I have been thinking and praying about how to talk about the issue's that I faced recently. I knew that Heavenly Father would help me get through this. HE has and I've grown so much from this painful experience. I put my faith in HIM that I would be able to understand the craziness of the situation. When I found out WHO was sending me the emails, threats and comments on my blog- I literally felt the room spin. I thought I was going to pass out. Thankfully, Ty was with me and I told him that I thought I was going to faint. I was in a total state of shock. I felt like a knife was stabbed in my back. I never thought in a million years that this person- someone who I thought was one of my best friends would do this to me. I had to kept reading the print out of her name and IP address. I did not want to believe it but the evidence was 100% there...

The crazy part is that this person is "in the industry" too. She is someone that I thought was a real friend to me. I mean, she even came to my daughter's wedding reception. I would let her see my designs before the debut. We would spend countless hours on the phone together. I truly considered her one of my very best friends. I could share so much more, but I just can't. It's still too painful and I think I am still in total shock. I am thankful for the support of the police and my true friends. I decided that for NOW not to proceed with legal action-she has stopped for NOW. So the police and I have the hope that SHE has realized that she was caught and is being watched. However, the stipulation is that she never contacts me in any way-  me, my family, my business, or tries to harm or threaten me or my character...ever again. Thankfully, I know she is and will be watched closely now.

The police department wanted me to read a book to help protect me. It is called "The GIFT of FEAR and other survival signals that protect us from violence." It is by Gavin De Becker. I realized that I TRUST way too easily and I needed to read this book. I read it on the way to St. George this weekend. I will not live in FEAR and allow HER or anyone to do this to me. SHE was very cruel in her threats to me. I knew INSTANTLY when I found out who SHE was- that I had to do one thing-

Many of you have asked- has SHE contacted me since I found out???? NOPE... and SHE has not owned up to her actions. She has not called, emailed or done anything. I still have no idea WHY she hated me so much. She was a completely different person to me. The police officer commented to me that her email's with me was full of hate and extremely hostile. She wanted to ruin my marriage, family and career.  I would imagine SHE never thought she would get caught. If you know me...this was so not like me... I'm naturally a PEACEMAKER and so thankfully FBI man- thank YOU for

helping me... to STAND up and not allow it to continue!!!!!

I doubt he reads my blog...but you KNOW- I am sending him

THANKFUL vibes...

The truth is SHE never was my friend and I've accepted that.

I pray for her everyday and hope someday soon that

she will get help. I still love and miss the friend that I thought she was.

Yes... I said it, HOW can you hate someone that you

were friends with for several years???? I was with Junkitz when

we became friends... and well, we were so close.

I just want all of you to know that I

can't and will never be friends with

this person again- but I

have forgiven and am working

everyday on ERASING the hurtful, mean and horrible things that she

said to me. Ty never believed for ONE second her accusations and he helped

lift me and support me in her crazy threats. I could SHARE so much more...but

I think it's best to end on a positive note.

Through many tears and sadness over this- I was lifted

and comforted by Heavenly Father. When I couldn't stand...I knelt in prayer-

and learned that I do have a friend that I can TRUST and will

never BETRAY me...

for this I am THANKFUL!!!!

Today has been a day of reflection for me. It's been a little over 2 weeks since CHA and I am busy doing designs for the coming year of releases. BASEBALL- President's Day Tournament

Well, we just home from St. George, Utah. A fun five days of non stop baseball... and lots of gorgeous weather. Ty and I thought it was best for me not to post that our family was away from home. It was a great vacation and the boys both played lots of baseball. This is the start of 2010 for our family and baseball. Both the boys are playing on a superleague teams. Ty is now playing 11 U for the HAWKS and Zach is still with the 12U STORM team. The girls were able to come too!!!! 

The hard part is that the games were often at the SAME time and at different locations. I felt so TORN as a mother. I would race to the games and would miss some of Zach's. Since Ty helps coach his team- I needed to be at Ty's games. This is a brand new team- the Hawk's. They have been practicing since late Summer and this was their first time playing as a team. They made it to the play offs today- YAY!!!!  They lost today but I was really excited they did so well for a NEW team.  Ty is playing 1st base and some at 3rd base. I LOST it today... I looked over at him and well, a MOTHER'S love...and I shed some tears. The look on his face and he was SO HAPPY. He was sitting on the bench at the time. I just could see that he was HAPPY and that makes me happy.

Zach's team... the STORM is quite the team. They won the 12U President's Day Tournament. The boys on this team are truly great athletes. For being 11 and 12 years old- it amazes me. For a Utah team, who has to practice indoor all Winter, they take baseball seriously. The team has great pitchers and work well together as a TEAM. I think ATTITUDE is everything- the team goes into the games thinking they will WIN and not IF they win.

I was thankful that the girls did not have drill and could come with us to the tournament. I am cherishing EVERY bit of time with them. Gentry is now...months away from graduating high school and I am so not ready to let her go.

I  overate on this trip...way too much junk food and so in a few hours- time to get to CURVES and get back on track. I realize I do so much better with my daily routine. I did pass by The Biggest Loser Ranch in St. George. It is in the middle of the desert and we played a game right down the street from the ranch. I don't watch much TV...but this is the show that inspires ME.

Okay...it's 2 am and I guess I should stop blogging and try to get some rest- it feels so good to be HOME!!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES- LOVE DAY

I am so happy and feeling so loved today. Well, honestly- I feel it everyday...but some more than others. I do a LOVE gift for Valentines for my family. I found the cutest little plastic cups at Target and filled it with candy, heart suckers, and a love note. I have them each a little HEART with chocolate. It only had 4 pieces in it! I think I love the love note the best!!!!  It's kind of like a EASTER basket but a mini LOVE basket (or cup in this case!).

I am sharing because I truly believe that it's the LITTLE things that mean the most. I want my kids to remember that I did these little things so that later in life...they will FACE big problems and BIG decisions...hopefully no matter what they can remember... the LITTLE things that REALLY

I love Thursdays- just have to say...

I spent an hour yesterday working on a little LOVE... a LOVE banner for my family.

You know CHIC BEBE GIRL is so versatile. I am loving the leopard print- I used the chipboard pieces too...oh, of course SPARKLE-

the LOVE transparency 12x12 sheet- I cut up for all my definitions on the banner-

I think I have to add my TC gems to everything!!!!

So I have to THANK you and apologize at the same time. I have been overwhelmed with hundreds of emails of support. I have read them all and cried at the out pouring of love. I thank you each personally.  I think as women we have this connection that we feel and understand. (not saying MEN don't- wink!) I have been going through some MAJOR emotions. I spent a long time on the phone yesterday with another officer at the police department. I just feel like my mind is on overload. WHO can I trust???? I feel so sad at the betrayal. I did not see this ever coming. In fact, this person was on the phone with me AND at the exact same time- emailing me threats to expose me. So I am tender...and hurt and well, I am at times REALLY angry. There I admit it...I am all over the place. There is so much more to this and in time I will share- but the police are aware of her and watching her.

CREATIVE ESCAPE...

Right NOW... oh, how I look forward to this- a CREATIVE ESCAPE

I have some pretty awful things going on. I found out who the person who has been emailing me and commenting on my blog is. I decided not to post the horrible emails and accusations. I was threatened with exposure- an ACTUAL video from CHA  that would be shown yesterday to the WORLD (of course doing something immoral with someone other than my husband) and expose me for what I am. Just typing it makes my stomach turn. I had enough and thanks to a friend---- who has friends in high places...well, the person was tracked by her IP address.

  I went to the police department yesterday and had to face the TRUTH... this is a person that I KNOW... and it's all there in black and white. This is a very serious matter and due to legal and an ongoing investigation- I will not comment further. Get this... I knew there was no video, because  I would never ever do anything like the accusations like that. I am completely madly in love with my husband and I am so MAD that anyone would try to hurt him- my BEST FRIEND and family to this extent. My heart hurts at the pain this person tried to cause the very ones I love the most. Attack me all you want- but don't come after my family. I try to protect them at all costs. I can't believe who this person is. I can't believe that I thought she was a friend. I keep reading the report over and over...thinking HOW is this possible???? How did I trust her and have no idea who she really is?  I have never been so confused and hurt. I want to tell you that your comments strengthened me this weekend.  I am thankful for the police department who is taking this matter seriously and helping me with peace of mind. OKAY- enough... I have to FOCUS on the GOOD... and not the LOSS...

TERESA MCFAYDEN is one of those people that i just look at all her creations, her work and all the things her fingers touch, and i have been amazed and inspired for YEARS! she has more talent and creative goodness than should be allowed for one person! i have never worked with her, and so i am SO looking forward to meeting her... i was DELIGHTED when she accepted the invitation to teach..(would you believe that i was SO shy to ask... she is one of my creative IDOLS!)JESSICA SPRAGUE... yes... THE ONE AND ONLY... Jessica Sprague. this woman amazes me. she inspires me and i am thrilled that we'll have her brilliance and happy energy among us! she is SO cool. every time we get on the phone, the minutes melt into hours and we just talk and talk and imagine. we would never be able to keep up with our ideas, but it would be SO fun to try! she is a BALL of energy and an absolutely phenomenal teacher. i can't wait to see what she's got cookin!AND... little 'ole me. i am so lucky! This is our song. I matches us perfectly. It didn't take him 45 mintues though. Only about 30. And that is how he proposed. He took me back to the park were we meet for a pinic. I had no idea he was going to propose. The diamond in the Engagment ring was the diamond my dad gave to my mom. So I knew this was coming. Spencer told me though that the ring wasn't going to be ready for a week or two. The little punk tricked me!! When he got down on one knee the first thing I said was "You Liar!!" and then even before he asked me I jumped him and gave him a huge kiss. He then went on to ask the big question but he already knew my answer.

My mom when I called her and told her about how Spencer proposed started crying!! She had no idea that was our song. Just 3 days prior in the car with sister Gentry "Then" came on the Radio and my mom told Gentry that if this is the way that Spencer felt about me she knew I was in good hands and that she would fully support me and Spencer. We were both crying on the phone. Thanks mom!! I love you so much and all your help over the years!

As for the rest of the song I am so looking forward to living out the rest of this song and growing old with Spencer. I love you Spencer and I am looking forward to the hard times and the good times! and Then one day we will look back at this Time and say "I thought I loved you Then!"

For me- I love that the post above was written in her own words from her heart. So often, I forget what is REALLY important. I think of what MATTERS most to me and well, it always comes back to LOVE. For me, it's the things in one's life that we truly LOVE.

I have been so busy designing and doing lots of GOOD things (wish I could share!), amazing opportunities that I would never had even to have sought and well...when I reflect on things- I just keep thinking to myself to always FOCUS on what really matters. No matter what I am doing or not doing, when I focus on LOVE...those who love me and I love them- well, it makes LIFE wonderful- HAPPIER and always puts things in perspective.

I wasn't going to share this, but if your reading my blog...well, THIS is me. I speak from my heart. This week I learned some sad news. The company I designed for Rusty Pickle announced they are closing their doors. I was talking to a close friend on the phone when I heard the news. I literally got chocked up and cried. My heart went out to them and their family. I appreciate the opportunity they have me back in 2003 to design and teach for them. I learned so many lessons and guess what- when I left the company there was a time when it was very awkward and things were said on the internet and the SB community that were horrible. I hated it...and well, I made a choice. I would choose to LOVE and forgive and not believe all the garbage that I heard. They choose to do the same...and out of that we reunited as friends.

Life is too short to dwell on negativity and trying to hurt someone else. I have never understood how anyone thinks that they are in a position to judge. How about focusing on LOVE... instead of how to tear someone down??? If we are trying to ruin someone than that only hurts you and your being- or that is what my dear mom always told me.

You may notice I now moderate all my comments on my blog. I am doing this now because of ONE person...who has decided to come to my blog and post under at least 6 different alias and post several post and personal emails to me. They want me to know how much they hate me. I guess people don't realize how IP addresses do show where you are posting from. I realized that I had someone who was out to scare and threaten me.  I have thought long and hard since Jan. 8th when the comments began. This "person" has grown to make threats and accusations that are well beyond, "I hate your designs, work", etc.

I want to make you aware of why I have chose to monitor the comments. I thought long and hard if I should do a permalink and never let comments show. However, I want to hear from you. For my family and my children's security and safety at this point... I have decided to share what is going on. There is so much more to the emails and threats and well... I wanted to be honest with what is going on in my life. I want to assure you that these threats have been taken seriously.

NOW... this is the crazy part- I am fine. My family is fine. We are so happy and well, I figured most of you would never imagine the things that sometimes happen to people through a blog.

FOCUS on LOVE. I know this is something we can't BUY...we can give it and we can receive it. Happy Saturday!

Tuesday's

I don't know WHY but I love Tuesday's. I woke up this am and after taking my boys to school- I headed to the gym. It felt so good and went by so fast...because my MIND has been over loaded with thoughts. I came home to the most wonderful email from a a dear friend. I literally sat and cried like a baby. My heart is full today... THANKFUL for those that KNOW me and just "get me." I am so sensitive and I wrote an article yesterday for a "something." I can't talk about it yet. However, it was digging deep within. SHARING and feeling vulnerable. I emailed it off and felt so much inside. I shared it with some close friends who would understand. I made them all cry...just like myself. I knew it was meant to be shared...even if it was hard to do so. I promise you will see it...soon too. I have come to realize that friends- true friends are such a blessings and I need to let them all know MORE how much they are appreciated. NEW GOAL- each day CALL someone and let them know that they are loved.

I found out some devastating news Sunday at church. My sweet friend has breast cancer. She is in her mid 30's and was diagnosed with her last pregnancy. She has FOUR gorgeous darling girls. My friend is fighting the battle with GREATNESS... with FAITH like I have never seen. She was in complete remission. I found out Sunday that the cancer is back. It took everything within me not to leave and cry. My friend had moved and now lives about 30 minutes from me. She send a letter to be read to the congregation. I feel I have to share this....

(sorry I can't post any names due to privacy and respect for her and her family)

I hope her words of FAITH will lift you as they have me-

"I truly have felt the love of the Lord and my Savior through this trial. I have been blessed by being open to this situation, because I know that people are praying for me and I have felt the love and the prayers of those around me. In fact, the prayers have given me strength beyond my own and have lifted my spirit to where I have been able to have great joy despite the circumstances. I know some people might think I am crazy. I know that I will be healed. I have learned that if I do not focus on that faith and I allow myself to get caught up in the word cancer and all of the negativity surrounding it that my peace goes away. I have to remain focused on this faith. I have the best motivation imaginable, my sweet children."

There was MORE to it...but I felt inspired to share her FAITH, her MESSAGE of hope... I am in awe of her and her strength...she is BRAVE and I love her so much!!!!

This weekend the girls performed in the State Drill team competition.The team moved from 4A to 5A this year. The drill team preformed in Kick, Military and Dance. It was a LONG and fun day. Taylor and Kayla went with me to watch and support the girls and team. We are overly excited that they placed 9th in State. I love that they worked so hard and did their best. There was a big to do that Hillcrest (who normally place 1st) came in 2nd place. I think it's hard because this is a sport that is very subjective... like ART. One person may LOVE something and the other does not like it as much. However, I am feeling so happy that my girls have had a fantastic year on the team and made lifelong friends. 

Okay- time to work on a HUGE pile of laundry!!!!
