I want to let everyone know that posted, as soon as Susan picks a winner from the blog post- I will let you know who won a SPOOKTACULAR house kit. How cool!!!!
Well yesterday, I went to the Home SHOW to decorate the wood shelf for charity. Here is what the shelf looked like...
We had only TWO HOURS to decorate it- in any way that we wanted to. We finished 10 minutes prior to the deadline.
It was REALLY fun! I had three uber talented girls come help me Joey Whittaker, Becky Olsen, and Teresa Gamboa. We painted and blinged the entire time....
This was our finished wood shelf. I wanted it to be very GIRLY...Can you tell? I wanted it to be something any little girl would want in their bedroom. I added finial knobs to the top of the shelf for a decorative accent. There is a mirror on the top shelf that I stamped one of my stamps with Staz On Black ink and then blinged away. There is about 8 MINI BOOKS decorated and stamped with my various paper lines and stamps- that the winner can use to add their own memories. I used the travelogue black with white dots for the outside and top of the book shelf. (adhered with Spray on Adhesive).... I wanted to do a photo frame (used the 8x8 CROWN paper from Journal it) to place a photo of BABY feet it. Again, the winner can put in their own photos!!!! The winner will GET EVERYTHING you see on the shelves. All the mini books- I used tons of my 5x7 bracket chipboard covers. I LOVE my PINK bind it all...it saved the day!!!!
The backing of the shelves were papers from DAMASK, and BELLA GIRL.... I loved how it came out!!!!
I hope that who ever bids and wins this bookshelf at the FESTIVAL OF TREES next month will love and enjoy it...
Here is a couple close up views:
I wanted a PINK TULLE skirt along the bottom of the book case. THANKFULLY BeK saved the day- my sewing machine is broken and she sewed this up for us- and she was SO FAST!!!!!! Thanks BEK- I know some little girl will love this added touch.
Sorry for such a dark photo- you know how indoor lighting can be. I made a mini book with journal it and bella girl in the corner. Then I added a Disney tea set. I wanted to keep adding so much more, but ran out of room...
We glued every one of those clear blings on...my signature thing!!!! So, now I think I will never look at a plain wood shelf the same way again....IMAGINE the possibilities...
If you are in Utah...I will be going on Good Things Utah Channel 4 in the near future...we are planning lots of fun things- so I will keep you posted. It is a daily 1 hour talk show (live) that airs here in Utah. I LOVE live TV...it's alway a quick 5 minute segment and the hosts (four amazing woman) that make it EASY and FUN!!!!!
I have been so busy but HAVE NOT forgot I wanted to share photos from last weekends event- INSPIRATION UNLIMITED. I have a couple teasers today...and PROMISE more will follow. I am so thankful and it took me FIVE days to recover. HA!
This is two beautiful girls- SARA (janna's nine year old daughter) and TAYLOR (my sweet girl). They had so much FUN together at the event. They watched movies, shopped, visited M&M World (thanks TAMMY!!!!- you are the KINDEST girl) and went to lunch and basically became BEST BUDDIES. I miss YOU sooo much TAYLOR... OH, her NEW DARK color was a SURPRISE to me...she is naturally blonde...but colored it two days before the event...
This is me- being GOOFY... Everyone had a CROWN necklace with GEMS...Ginger ROCKED the name tags!!!!!!!!!!
At the CROP on the last night, Janna and SUSAN danced and danced. I love how everyone REALLY became FAST friends and we had a great time. Susan won a TON of prizes and everyone STILL loved her!!!!!!
OKAY- many more to share...just a few for tonight. I have to go play ROOK with the family.
CRUSH...a LOVE THEMED LINE!!!!!
I can't wait to see what you've designed.
You are constantly AWESOME in all your lines.
PICK ME....PICK ME....Amy
