I will be traveling soon. I will be traveling to The Mall of America in Minnesota on Thursday. I have loaded up on my favorite books- even though it is only about a 3 hour flight, it's my guilty pleasure to get to read during the flight. I love to read inspirational books. It can be anything from church, fitness, relationship, design books, and sometimes total chick flick books. Anyway, I am really looking forward to Scrapfest.
So today, I thought I would share a travel layout designed by Stacey Michaud.
Start with Side B of the Luggage Tags as your base.
Cut a 9 1/4 X 9 3/4 rectangle from Side B of the Collage paper for your left side.
Cut an 11 X 9 3/4 rectangle from Side B of the Collage paper for your right side.
I used black as the mat for my photos to make them pop! Cut a rectangle a little bigger than 9 1/2 by 8 from Side B of the Words paper for the left side.
Cut a 10 3/4 X 8 rectangle from Side B of the Words paper for the right side.
Adhere the Collage paper to the base, lining up your edges. Tuck a red border under the black mat to add more color. I used the Geometric paper cut to be the length of the black mat and about 1/2 inch wide.
I staggered my photos to add some movement to the layout. The larger photos are sized at 4 X 2 3/4 and the small ones are 3 X 2 inches.
I added in strips of patterned paper to add some punch! The words scattered around the layout are from the die-cuts page.
To make my journaling block, I cut a rectangle from the 6 X 6 Maps paper that was sized 3 1/2 X 6 1/2. I placed a brad at the top with the new baker's twine trim underneath.
I used the "Where", "Sights" and "Highlights" tabs from the die-cut sheet to highlight my journaling.
The circles were carried around the layout as the repeating element.
I seriously am so happy that CKU is doing events again!!!
Off to the gym...again- love it!
