I am home from a fabulous time at the Archiver's Scrapfest event. I have so many photos to share. I came home yesterday and was so tired. Ty picked me up from the airport and I was able to go to the last church meeting. I had slept the entire flight home. Still I was feeling so tired. I just succumbed to the desire to rest and took another nap after church. I love SUNDAYS!!!!!
The event was so fun. I met so many new friends. I will post my photos (hopefully tomorrow- if my card reader will cooperate better than tonight!).
Well, today I have been running around getting ready to leave on Wednesday morning for my yearly Inspiration Unlimited scrapbook event. I have so much to do in such a short amount of time. I was getting my hair done when I got a text from McKay at school. She let me know that she made HOMECOMING ROYALTY. She was one of five girls chosen to be in Homecoming Court. At her high school senoirs vote who they would like to be the Homecoming Queen and King. They take the top five girls/boys and then this week they will vote from those selected.
So we went today and got her dress. I am so thankful that she was given this great opportunity. I have no doubt it is because she is just a really kind and sweet girl to everyone she meets. Every day I would take her to school and say..." be kind to everyone, be a friend to others, seek out those who don't have friends and look like they could use one, remember who you are and follow HIS example. " I want to let McKay know that her nomination is truly a way for her to know that other's see what kind of girl she is. She is the girl who is friendly and friends to everyone she meets. I would say that one word to desribe her is...KIND. I am very fortunate to call her my daughter.

I want McKay to know that I am so lucky to be her mother. She really is a great example to me. I love so much that she is was so in shock to be nominated and truly does not care if she wins. In fact, she mentioend another girl that she thinks is the NICEST girl in the school and thinks she should win.
