UPDATE: WIN THE NECKLACE I WORE TODAY ON GOOD THINGS UTAH. LEAVE A COMMENT ON YOUR FAVORITE BLINGAGE ITEM AND WHY- WINNER PICKED TOMORROW!!!!!
One of the things that I absolutely LOVE about my Blingage collection is the versatility and the multi- uses of my embellishment line. I love products that can be used in more than one way. When I came up with Blingage, I knew it needed to be a line that could be used on ALL creative projects. I use Blingage in home decor, jewelry, layouts, cards, mini books, and more. I love to make gifts from the items. I love that the flowers have a clip to easily adhere to my clothing or scrapbook page. Taylor's clips have been as popular to wear in the hair, as it is to place on a project.
I worked VERY hard to keep the prices affordable too. I am happy to let you know that BLINGAGE has been a HUGE hit. I thank ALL of you that have supported the line!!!!
I took photos of the things I will be showing today on Good Things Utah. I wanted to show how CHIC but AFFORDABLE creating your own "wearable" art can be.
I really have had fun with the metal WINGS. I have made earrings, necklaces and MORE with them. The necklace shown in the center comes with the necklace chain.
I love the clear blingage items here that I added to a chain. The gems already come with a jump ring that you open and put on a chain. The necklace on the right has LOTS of Blingage dangling from the chain.
One of my favorite is the large black (Seth's) Fleur de lis. I hung it from the chain and it is simple but unique necklace. I will be wearing this necklace on the segment today.
I love the clear gems too!!!! The come in two sizes and I use Ranger's Glossy Accents to attach them to everything. (My friend made this BLINGAGE bracelet) I love it!
This is the backside/closure for the bracelet. She sewed the blingage gem to it!
I love the ANGEL Christmas ornament that Sesil Cratin created with Blingage Crown, Wings, and Tear drop. SO creative!!!!!!!!
I just hope that the roads are not too messy or dangerous on the drive to the TV Studio this morning. I tend to like to STAY home when the roads are snowy and icy. It snowed all night again. Ty got up at extra early to shovel and remove all the snow from the cars and driveway. Utah is great to keep the main roads clear.
I HAVE to get the boxes shipped to EVER AFTER today too. I will be visiting my friends in CA on Friday and Saturday. I am looking forward to MY last trip of the year. I love the girls there and I know we have FUN things planned.
After this weekend- I will have a full 5 weeks with NO traveling. Family time for the holiday season- looking forward to FOCUSING on this. I am most looking forward to just being HOME with my kids.
*dinner at Rubio's with Gentry, Ty, Zach (not shown) and I on Saturday night. The kids were not big fans of the restaurant- a little too spicy)
Gentry went back to college today and I kept crying. I was an emotional mess. I did not see this coming. We were at church and I realized that in a few hours she would be gone again... it hit me how much I would miss her. I see a big surge of independence in her personality. I see how much she has grown by being on her own at college. She has always been mature but it is on a whole different level now. I am thankful that she really listened to my COUNTLESS life lectures. She even thanked us this weekend for caring so much and being strict parents. Hmmm.... I think I should have recorded it. She said she was thankful that as her parents we were strong enough to say NO to her. Often it got her MAD at us. We always tell our kid's...just because everyone else does something, it DOES not mean we have to allow it as parents or that it is right.
We had a great Thanksgiving with burned potatoes (me!) and a MAJOR water leak in our kitchen. The contractors who did our kitchen remodel did not do the work properly and we now are faced with MAJOR kitchen plumbing issues. Right now, we do not have any water in our kitchen. It looks like we will have to rip out the cabinets, countertops and redo the plumbing done by the contractors. Two years later and we are still facing the effects of a very bad choice to go with a company that we thought was upstanding. I have to say that Ty was so opposed with my decision to hire the company. I really must say, in all of this HE still is the sweetest husband and has NOT one time did the blame game towards me. I think he knows I blame myself enough for both of us.
We had a great day shopping on Friday at South Towne mall. The girls, Ty and I... shopped until we were hungry and TIRED. The girls started getting snippy with each other. We stopped at Dairy Queen for a treat at the food court to help with the growing tension. It was a great day of family bonding. I have to say the bargains were great and since we went around noon- the lines were not too crazy. The best part of this entire Thanksgiving weekend was being together. Gratitude is a way of life...each day and I feel so profoundly BLESSED!!!!!
Off to the TV studio- Have a Great Monday!
