Scrapfest was really COOL! I hear so often...recession, recession, recession...and so many people are down on the future of the scrapbook world. Seriously, I meet HUNDREDS of woman who would make you think otherwise. I met many woman who will always have the desire to document and scrapbook their stories. The line to check out at Archivers (the store in the mall) was OVER 2 hours. I met a lady who had waited in the line and got all her supplies at the beginning of the show. She then came to the TC booth and saw things that she did not see in the store. When she found out the store had them- she waited another 2 hours to go load up on my books, kits and some T-drops. I wanted to hug her...she was darling!!!! I met girls from Australia, Arizona, California, you name it...they traveled to this show. So you can bet- Scrapbooking is here to stay- because it is FROM THE HEART... the lines to do the make n takes were very long. My line to do a FRIENDSHIP mini book was at times 1 1/2 hour. I personally tried to talk to every single woman in line. THIS is WHAT I want to do and love. I loved it when someone did not know who I was. They would comment how much they loved what Teresa Collins does or something sweet like that- and when I would say well, THANK YOU that means a lot to me...they would say...Oh- are you TC???? This to me is just cool. I am always humbled and grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful woman.
I taught in the middle of the Mall of America. Yes, I thought I would be distracted from all the people from the three floors above who were watching me. They have two HUGE screens that display you or your projects for everyone at the mall to watch. Sold out classes- the BEST students....and well- again, I LOVE what I do. I am passionate about it! So thank you everyone at Scrapfest for being so wonderful. Also, Amy, Eddie, Jamie and Dana- thank you for being over the top fantastic and making this a wonderful weekend. Our booth was ROCKING!!!!!I wanted to share something cool-
I have to get ready for church...I go on Good Things Utah tommorrow morning...I will be showing my T-drops!!!!!
