Okay, today was amazing! I love Sundays. I am thankful each week to be able to go to church. It's really important for me to "reenergize" my batteries. I have an amazing group of church friends. I don't think they realize the example they are to me
. Today after church, I got a email from Vince Papale, the man who I blogged about yesterday. His story is the what the movie INVINCIBLE was based upon. At first, I thought it was a joke. I told Ty- how did you send me this email???? HA. I was so impressed that he emailed to thank me for my comments. It was funny because we had gone into great discussion last night about Vince. I had not blogged about it, but now I think I will share. For one thing, this is probably the 5th time we have watched this movie together as a family. Not only do we watch the movie, but we watch all the "extras." This man is so inspiring. You have to go rent this movie- or better yet BUY IT. It is so touching- and yes, you may cry. I did!!!! Vince was a 30- year old bartender who against extraordinary odds- gets a one in a million shot at trying out and making the Philadelphia Eagles football team. Vince never even played college football. The story is so heartfelt in tht Vince had a never say die ATTITUDE and enormous HEART that excelled him in the sport and life. The bonus features were so touching- "Becoming Invincible: The Vince Papale Story." My son Zach (who is only 11) was impressed with how Vince now speaks about his greatest accomplishment is his FAMILY. His two kids and his wife Janet. Now that is a role model. He kept it REAL- not talking about the FAME or WEALTH but what really matters most. Anyway, I know there is thousands of you that visit my blog every day and so if want to see a really GREAT feel good movie- which is appropriate for your entire family- go check it out!!!!! The fact that Vince emailed me makes me a BIG cheerleader for this INVINCIBLE man....
I am thankful for those of you have emailed asking about the classes I am teaching. The book that I will be teaching in FRANCE (sold out) is also the one that I will be teaching at the Donna Downey INSPIRED event in North Carolina:
Donna informed me today that sign ups begin on March 1st. I am also teaching a cool class with jewelry- we will be doing a clear dome ring and a COOL pendant necklace. I LOVE both of the classes- so I'm looking forward to this event. Did I mention that I'm taking ZACH with me???? I feel it is important to spend time one on one with our children and he REALLY wanted to go- so I made it happen. In a few years, will he feel this way about spending time with his MOM???
So for the FAMILY Acrylic album that I showed yesterday- I am teaching it in FRANCE but NOT in the USA. I'm sorry but I don't have a lot of extra Acrylic stands. So I have decided to do KIT ONLY's of this class. I have a few available. If interested- just email me at www.teresac8@msn.com and I will send you the information.
Last, I want to show a layout that was sent to me-
Sammye Jo Singer
www.62cards.blogspot.com
I love that Sammye used the CRUSH papers and the FILE FOLDERS to create such a cute & simple layout. I love how she used the CRUSH stamp too. Isn't her son cute????
I know this has turned into a LONG post- but I want to ASK each of you something- I have a favor- I want to know if you have a SCRAPBOOK CABINET- or if you would ever want one. I've been asked to DESIGN my IDEAL (DREAM) CABINET. I would love any input you have on this subject. I am wanting a piece that looks like FURNITURE - that will close and HIDE my big mess and all of my supplies. I am always so busy at CHA that I never get to walk and see what is even available. ANY comments or companies that you recommend. I would love to find something- or if NOT...I am looking into designing it myself. I will even do a NICE prize to pick tomorrow. I have a 7x13 album & NEW CHA PAPERS to send someone... so don't be shy- GOOD LUCK- I'll pick a winner tomorrow night!!!!
PS I want it to be something that looks like a piece of furniture that is on the MAIN level of my home...you know - hiding all my STUFF...
