Oh, I know I have been absent here for a few days. It has been so busy with family & friends coming in for the wedding. My sister Shelley flew from NC to be here. Everyone here loves her and loves to hear her southern accent. Zach had a game yesterday and they won. That means they play today (play until they lose). I am up and we are all going to Taylors home- to let the bridesmaids and Gentry get "dressed." The photographer will be there as well.
MY heart is overflowing. My Gentry is marrying her best friend. I am so happy for them. I wanted to share the just a couple of photos from the dinner last night. Devan's family hosted the family dinner at BLUE LEMON in Highland Utah. It was YUMMY! However, the best part was celebrating Devan and Gentry.
I am one very thankful mother. They found each other and they are marrying their best friend.
I love that everyone is so happy and my kids are truly just estatic that Devan... they like to call him "devbot" is going to be one of us- FAMILY. I told him he was stuck with us forever. He was happy about this.
This is my crazy, funny, real, kind and amazing sister Shelley. I love her so much and having her here has meant more than words can say.
Okay... I admit it I am the OLDER sister. I am three years older than Shelley and she is the one who helps guide me. She gives me awesome (REAL) advice. I love you so much Shelley!!!!
This is Gentry- she is still my baby girl. Oh my... emotional me. I am forever grateful that God gave me her to love and raise. She is so special and I kept crying last night during the family presentation.
I want to thank the Bartholomews for hosting the most yummy and special family dinner last night at the BLUE LEMON. It was very special for the couple.
They had each of the tables beautifully decorated and adorned with the wedding colors. Ann (Devan's mother) is so sweet and just did a great job at this.
They made this boxes up and wrapped them for each guest that came. Yes, lots of chocolate was inside. Somehow my box disappeared. Have I mentioned my husband loves chocolate?
I think the slideshow they showed of Gentry and Devan from a baby, growing up and meeting each other was so sweet. I cried so many tears, laughed a lot (how did I dress her that way and think it was cute? ha!!!!) and just loved the feelings of knowing they had found each other. Devan played this song to their photos-
How could a mother not feel overjoyed to know that their daughter is so loved and cherished by the man that is marrying them?
Devan then played a song on the piano that he wrote and composed just for her. It was "Gentry's Song." My heart was on overflow MUSH by then. I love you Devan. He is so talented and the song spoke to my soul. He loves her and she loves him.
In a few hours... TODAY... they will be married.
I am so happy!!!!

Oh my... life is so wonderful!!!!!
I am choosing to embrace all that I have on "my plate" right now. Yesterday was amazing. We went to the temple with Gentry. It was very special and I was able to escort her since it was her first time. Gentry looked beautiful and seeing Devan with her was sweet. I was overcome with thankfulness to have all three of my girls together. We are now FIVE days from the wedding. They are getting married in the Draper Temple.
Yesterday, Zachs team played Maple Mountain baseball team. The pitcher was amazing! He struck out 15 of our players- super great curve ball, fastball and can throw junk. WOW! He impressed me. He will be playing at BYU next year. They will be lucky to have him. Our team lost by 3 runs, but Zach was so happy that he hit off of him and changed the game from a no hitter. He caught great and even though they lost it worked out. Now they play on MONDAY- the day before the wedding. I am excited that my family, sister and Amy who are coming from out of state can go watch him play. Then we have the family dinner on Monday night. Oh... I am loving this time.
This is Zach protecting the plate yesterday. He was out!
He threw the ball to get a double play- throwing to first base. The crowd was SO LOUD. They had bases loaded and we got two outs here. Exciting game!!!
State playoffs will continue on Monday. If they lose they are out of the playoffs.
I had some questions about Craftwell. I have designed many new embossing folders and MORE. You will be able to find the products directly through Craftwell and the places that they distribute. I will be able to share more and where to find them as soon as they become available. If you call my office to order them, Brian will happily sent you to Craftwell. We are all so excited about this new partnership!
I'm at my office today working on TWO new collections. I am feeling inspired. I was up at 4am this morning with a new line in my head. I can't sleep and know it's time to start the day. Do you do this too? ahhh... so me.

This is going to be a crazy fun week for our family. I have family and friends flying to Utah for the wedding. I am so thrilled that my friends and my sister is coming. I am feeling so thankful for this. It's a HUGE big deal for me to have them all here. I want them to know how much it means. Gentry has been getting so many gifts and that is so nice and thoughtful. Many of you have sent gifts and well wishes. THANK YOU! The wedding is in 6 days. I want to think we are prepared.
I wanted to share a photo that CRAFTWELL had online yesterday-
Yes, I am doing LETTER SIZE embossing folders. I am eager to be able to have them debuted so that everyone can see how cool they are.
Yesterday Zachs high school baseball team played their first game in State playoffs. They played one yesterday and play again today. They did well and I was so happy.
I love that the kids came to support him. Grandma was even there. I know these are times that although at 15 years old, he does not say how much it means... it does.
Tonight after the game, I am going to the temple with Gentry. This is her first time. My heart is emotional. I feel so much happiness in her decisions to be married and go to the temple. I think it is to be expected that I am a "bit" emotional this week. Thankfully we are taking it day and day and things are going smooth.
Now I wanted to share a project designed by Julie Jacob.
"Today I am continuing with a project I shared on National Scrapbooking Day.
It's an altered book, which I turned into a gratitude journal for June.
You can find the tutorial for making the cover, pages, and days 1-5 HERE.
Today I want to share days 6-10. :)
Day 6:
1. Cut a piece of Summer Stories (SS) Flowers paper 4x7.5". I assemble my page and THEN glue it into the book. Way easier, as this book is NOT a lay flat book. :)
2. Cut the colored, lined index card from the Memories (M) Ledger card paper. Stamp I am thankful at the bottom, and adhere.
3. Add a strip of gold glitter scallop border beneath. Adhere chipboard LOVE pennant to top right, and the 'notes' SS die cut above the date on the index card.
4. Stamp the date and add a gold 6 (Thickers).
5. Glue whole piece into the book, then add black camera washi tape to left edge.
Day 7:
1. Adhere 'You & Me' SS die cut to top of book page...leave room at the bottom to slide notebook paper underneath. I kind of already decided this would be an 'I'm thankful for us' page.
2. Cut a piece of M Ledger Card paper (white ledger side) 3.5 x 5.5". Slide under you & me and adhere.
Add US pennant. Stamp I am thankful on SS Filigree paper (woodgrain side) and adhere.
3. Add chipboard button, SS enamel dots & the 7 (Thickers.)
4. Stamp the date and add the gray ruler washi tape to the bottom of the page.
5. I used my McGill tab punch and M Calendar paper (pink chevron side) to make the top tab. The numbers are from the Memories chipboard pieces. The back of the tab has the 8 on it.
The next two pages.
Day 8:
1. Cut a piece of M Subway Calendar paper (gray dot side) to 3.5 x 6.5".
2. Add the Remember die cut M piece. Cut the 8 from the SS Bingo paper (yellow numbers side) and adhere. I sewed beneath the remember...again, before you glue it into the book. :)
3. Add the die cut SS Just Because piece to the bottom.
4. Adhere the pennant, and stamp the date on it. Stamp I am thankful above it...then punch out Love This circle from the M Dots paper.
Day 9:
1. For this page I used the second to largest M file folder. The one with the different ledger cards on it. There's lots of room inside for journaling, or adding a picture or two.
2. Add a 1 3/4" strip of SS Stripes paper (pink dot side). I sewed on mine after adding the other elements.
3. Add the Story 3x4 card from the SS Cards paper. Punch a large gold glitter heart and add. Stamp I am thankful at the bottom right corner.
4. Adhere the yellow Love and pink pennants to the top left corner. Stamp the date above the Story card.
5. Punch the clock from the M Dots paper and tuck in on right side. Add the yellow brad to the center...then the chipboard button and enamel dots. Last...cut out the 9 from the SS Bingo paper (yellow numbers side) and adhere.
Day 10:
1. Punch out the fleur de lis ledger piece from the M die cut sheet. Add the good times strip. Then stamp the date beneath. Stamp I am thankful at the top. Adhere.
2. From your scraps of paper, punch several (I did 9 using a Martha Stewart punch) medium butterflies.
Adhere over the page...Add enamel dots to some butterflies...also the M 10 chipboard piece to another.
There you go...the first 10 days of June!
Have a great Monday... :)

We went to Red Robin's (McKay's choice)for dinner on Friday night. We had a great time just being together.
My son Ty was at a skatepark with his friend. It is so hard to get everyone together-
I had to laugh when I picked him up- I wanted to take some photos. You can tell in the one photo that he was not wanting his photo taken. He will appreciate my efforts in the future!!!

Yesterday was a busy day. I had planned to tape more of my episodes for www.mycraftchannel.com. I was so sick and honestly, I kept telling myself that I could do it. I have been sleeping, taking sudafed and vitamin C (probably too much!) to help. I woke up and felt horrible. I prayed that I could just get through my shows taping. The studio moved to a new location and I had a new set. It was so fun that Gentry and McKay went with me to help me. It really helped to have them there. They set up all nine of my shows between takes and helped keep me organized. When I am sick I need the extra help.
We filmed and I think I had to stop maybe four times today due to coughing or ugh... sneezing, etc. It went fast and I could not believe how smooth it went. As soon as I was done and in the car, I started to cough nonstop and sneeze. I told McKay that I know God had helped me to do the shows. It was so evident that as soon as I was done my sickness was worse again.
I took the girls and Devan to Cafe Rio for lunch and my head was "spinning." We were in a quiet corner so I was okay. It was so fun to see how excited they are to get married. I went to their "first place"- Devan's parents own a condo that they will be living in while Devan get's his Masters degree and they finish school. It was beautiful and they are so blessed. They have NO furniture. I love seeing a couple have nothing but growing together in life. They don't even have a chair in their place. I asked Gentry is they had a TV and she said..."NO, that is not a necessity." I loved it!
Zach had his last Region 7 game yesterday afternoon. I went bundled up and with hot chocolate. I know I should not have went, but I can't miss this important events in my kids life if I can help it. They won!!!! Zach hit a homerun and a triple and walked twice. They won 17 to 1. They then were awarded Region 7 MHS Champs. Next week, they start STATE playoffs. They will play next week (two days) and how they place determines STATE games the following week. This is the week Gentry is getting married and STATE finals would be during her wedding day.
I wish like crazy that State was not that week- of course, we had no idea when we planned Gentry's wedding. Zach is starting catcher and will have to play. We hope the times do not mean he misses the reception/wedding. I will be with Gentry and would never miss any part of her wedding day.
Last night, Gentry's friends Jackie and Dani threw her a batchlorette party. They had so much fun and I politely declined going since I wanted it to be just her friends. She has some great girlfriends.
Today it is 12 days to the wedding!!!!
Yesterday, Devan and Gentry went and got their marriage license. I am such a happy mom.
Okay... I have HUGE big news. I wanted to let you know that on MONDAY- this coming MONDAY- "we" will be sending out a press release to announce my latest partnership. It is just so amazing and I am so happy and excited for what I will be sharing.
Now to take my sons to school. Have a great day!

It finally happened. I am sick. This is such bad timing. It is two weeks before the wedding, a huge deadline I am working on, New Zealand in 15 days and I'm filming tomorrow new episodes for My Craft Channel.
I am taking Vitamin C. I think my body just needs some rest. Thankfully, it seems like a really bad cold/cough. No fever and chills like the flu.
Okay... I can do this!!!!!!
Staying positive.

This weekend was nonstop busy. It started with Zach's baseball game on Friday evening. It was weird but I just KNEW that he was going to have a great game. I think moms have a special gift and connection at times with their children. I mentioned it to Ty and McKay. If I am at work, I always leave early to see the games. I video all his at bats and he likes to watch them after the games to watch his swing. He was "on" in hitting and catching.
After the game, Zach was asked to be interviewed for the newspaper. I watched him as he answered the questions. He was just so sweet about his comments. I have told him to always just be thankful and humble of his successes.
He hit a three run- home run and this is his coach at third base. I am so thankful that he loves his team and coach. He has grown as a athlete and playing on the Varsity team has helped him grow in his confidence and abilities. I had worried since he was the only 9th grader on the team that he would feel out of place. It was the direct opposite. The older boys have welcomed him and treat him well.
He absolutely loves being the catcher and they are down to their last week of games before Region playoffs. Then if they qualify they will go to State. Currently, the team is in 1st place going into Region. However, they know that they have to play well and they face tough competition every game.
On Saturday it was National Scrapbook Day. I really enjoyed visiting Heartfelt. I will post more photos of this later this week.
I raced home to help Taylor and Mckay with Gentry's bridal shower. Taylor hosted the shower and was really organized and made it special. Here are a few of the photos. Unfortunately, my camera had been left on and my battery was dead. I had to use my other purse camera. NOTE: photo colors are all off. Positive note- at least I have photos.
Yes, I love that Taylor made a photo to document the day. I am a big fan of signs that help to tell the story.
I thought this was a great idea to do the ADVICE sheets.
Taylor made all types of salad and desserts. She even made CAKE POPS and put them in colored PINK rice to keep them standing up.
McKay and Taylor worked hard to adorn the shower and make it a special day for Gentry.
I am so thankful to be the mother of my children. They are making good and wise decisions. I am so thankful. Gentry is so ready to be a wife and I am so excited for the wedding. Many women in Portugal last week think Gentry and I look so much alike. Do you see it? I really don't. I don't think any of my kids look alike. ha! However, I think my son Ty looks just like I did.
Gentry had Cambria help her open the gifts. It was so cute!!!!
Okay... bad photo... but what a great gift from Taylor. She got the idea off of pinterest.
I am so thankful for Gentry's friends. She met these three beautiful girls at BYU. Hilary and Dani were her roommates.
I wish I had got a photo with everyone who came. We are so thankful for our family and friends who came to celebrate with us. THANK YOU all for coming.
I am so thankful for this photo. This is Gentry's grandmother (her dad's mom). She is the sweetest person. I love her and even though Gentry's dad and I got divorced, they have always been so kind and caring towards me. I love that they love my girls so much and support them in so many ways.
I truly love Gentry's friends. They have a very special place in my heart. They support her and they are just great examples.
Dani, Jackie, McKay, Gentry, Taylor, Rachel, Chandler and Katie. They are all her bridesmaid. We are missing Kayla. (they will be here for the wedding and we are excited!!!)
After the shower, we drove to Farmington so that Ty could race in the first game of the outdoor season of BMX bike racing. It was so windy and cold and I was miserable. I just kept thinking that it was so important to be there for Ty and that I would face the cold any day to be there for my son. He is just such a sweet kid. He is growing up so fast. He tends to like the exact opposite of Zach. We try to give each of our children their own special time with us.
Ty won all three races to place 1st in the competition. He was so excited. I just love that it makes him feel happy to race. He was so happy since he felt he was not going to even place in the race.
He really WAS happy. This photos makes me laugh!
Next time, maybe I can get him to smile.
It was just a great weekend of family moments and memories.
